Well, tough shit England, that’s what you get for Brexit.

But honestly, I’m still really sad about Alan Rickman

Remember when we hated 2016 for killing all the famous people we loved? Good times, man.

Exactly. Momentarily clouded judgment would be a reasonable explanation for not immediately condemning him. Not for actively defending him, and attacking his accusers.

I vaguely remember something from my professional responsibility class in law school about the ethical considerations involved in entering a business relationship with your client (aside from the attorney-client relationship). Not sure if she officially represented him, but it makes me raise an eyebrow.

*eyeroll*

Seriously. She basically just revealed either: 1) what exactly it took for her to quickly abandon the morals she spent her entire career enforcing, or 2) that she never had those morals to begin with and was always just going where the money/fame was. Not a good look either way.

Her reason doesn’t make it any better. It makes her look worse.

Libby, I am 59 years old—I got my first migraine when I was 12, which, coincidentally, was when I got my period for the first time. In the 70s and 80s, the only drug that I remember getting was Fioricet, which was a barbituate mixed with acetaminophen and caffeine. Once you took it, you couldn’t drive.

Uh, also can you call it an apology if he never, not once said he was sorry but did find a way to talk about how admired he is twice?

I don’t get the PRAISE for this apology that I am seeing here, there and everywhere on social media. CK issued a good apology because he was already outed, after years of gaslighting the public about these “ridiculous!!!!” claims and maybe blacklisting a woman comedian who said they were true? Fuck all that noise.

Child abuse is not something one simply does once. There has never been in all of the years since this first accusation even a peep about Allen abusing anyone else.

A hefty FU to the multitudes of Gawker/Jezebel readers who flooded my comment a year or two ago angry because I said this guy’s brand of anti-sexist anti-racist comedy was itself sexist, racist and not particularly funny. I believed the rumors from the start. Also, as a man myself, believe me when i say C.K. is a

The pervasive assumption that we weren’t talking to victims who preferred to stay anonymous and doing the legwork behind the scenes while the above piece details all of the women Anna had been communicating with is very strange, but also not surprising.

It’s kind of mind-blowing how many of the people who defended CK from the beginning are now flocking to the comments to beat up jezebel.

Thank you for the post. Jezebel pursued an open secret story inside of an industry that’s incredibly male dominated and where misogynist views (women aren’t and can’t be funny) still exist. The nature of CK’s comedy added icky complexity to the endeavor. Strong CK defenders (outside the comedy world) are to CK what

The New York Times broke the story, ya nerd.

Here’s the simple fact: It’s The New York Times

I’m not sure why you’re bringing up the Washington Post? The New York Times broke the story earlier this morning — two different cities, two completley different media outlets.
