A game project + big name publisher + nicely written character concepts of different ethnic backgrounds with attractive/relatable personalities/quirks * freedom for the fanbase to create their own more relatable material or that I sometimes like to call the “Pokemon Effect” = Well...this.

I know a couple undecideds and they’re staunch republicans who can’t stomach the thought of either candidate - one because he’s a rotten racism-spewing cheeto, and the other because they don’t agree with any of her policy stances. I don’t think they’ll vote at all this year.

My husband is undecided about whether or not to vote, does that count? Although he’s leaning more towards ‘yes’ after the debate. We live in a kind of swing state.

I remember reading something like this - maybe one of Al Franken’s books? Where he says that (modern) conservatives love their country like a small child loves its mother - they see her as unfailing and infallible and perfect no matter what, and don’t you fucking dare say one bad word about her or I’ll kick your ass.

Generic, faceless Republican - overt racism + weed = Gary Johnson

I never considered that before, but I think you’re right. Johnson’s whole schtick boils down to a) “I’m not Clinton or Trump!”, and b) states’ rights. Weld has those two things, plus he comes across as knowing what the fuck he’s talking about. I don’t necessarily agree with his politics, but at least he doesn’t come

Stein is the worst. At first I was all like, she’s a terrible candidate but seems like a decent person. She’s come to remind me of terrible “activists” who I used to work with that advocated violent responses from poc communities. It bothers me how they, people with cushy highly competitive non-profit jobs, can

It’s so sad that crazy people are hoping to bring their dystopian fantasies to life by electing Trump. Crazy people, you will still have a shitty life after Trump destroys federal bureaucracy, but with less oversight on what goes into your baby formula.

This election will come down to Democratic and young people turn out. Trump supporters will vote for him no matter what. Clinton is doing well with all female Dems and surpringly well with even Republican college educated females. But we need some of these younger voters to get out there, get their heads out of their

We need to handle Citizens United. If Trump had been up against just a couple few candidates instead of 17 or whatever ridiculousness it was, he never would have made it through the primary. Too bad all those idiots had the money to run.

I’m glad all these papers are coming out now, but it also makes me kind of angry because a lot of them had a major part in making this race far closer than it should be in the first place!

I feel the same way. Those pictures of them holding those dead endangered animals.... They make me lose my rationality. And it isn’t as though Eric and The Junior used their own money to pay for a trip where they could 1) Find a country corrupt enough to let them kill a tiger, one of the most endangered predators

The media is realizing all that money they made off clicks won’t mean anything when the world ends.

I tried to make the fascist claim only to have a Trump fan say, “But I want him to be like Hitler. Hitler was only stopped because America is the strongest nation on Earth. With someone like Hitler leading America the whole world can be cleansed.”

Dems don’t do good with using panic as motivation; it usually defeats them, which is why I push back on panicking like the plague. Republicans are very easily motivated through fear and hate. Dems tend to fall apart when you try to scare them.

It’s never been adequately explained to me how a Trump presidency helps progressive causes. After he attempts a transparent grift on Putin, gets caught, and starts global thermonuclear war, Jill Stein still won’t be the warlord we need to drive the mutants back to The EverBlaze* after stealing the gasoline out of New

I feel the same way (including, especially, the JINX part).

He is a replacement level candidate. Any GOP candidate can get 40%. Literally any, as we’re seeing. But his ceiling appears to be rock solid, which means Hillary will have to come back to him to lose. 3rd party candidates are the main concern here, but I’m optimistic.

And, yet, he was still on track to lose even before the debates. Like, I’m a little weary of this “nothing seems to hurt him” dispair. Everything has hurt him, that’s why he was never able in aggregate to get above Clinton in the polling despite her missteps and the media trying to avalanche her with bad news.

Aside from the debate, not a lot of things have really moved the needle. Not the reporting on his foundation, not the national security experts, not the racist and sexist remarks, not the countless Republicans who have come out against him since the primaries.
