I don’t know who’s running in 2020 but I’m already freaking out.

Yes I consider that Tea Party created group to be the GOP as it currently is with Trump and all, and the rest that are seeking shelter from the shitstorm to be the ones who need to publicly and lastingly sever from the GOP and maybe join the moderates.

Evangelical Christian Conservatives, who aren’t running for office and have no real reason to support Trump, have failed to meaningfully criticize a womanizing, thrice-married adulterer that is vastly more irreligious than Clinton. At least Ryan has a rational, albeit self-serving reason to support Trump.

The

In some areas they pretty much did, forming Tea Party groups that went head to head with more moderate Republicans. Because of Koch brothers funding and a way with white fear, they won those elections. Some moderate Republicans started to be forced into partisan/Tea party lines if they wanted to keep their jobs.

As long as the public sees only what they want them to see. Like videos of little black kids who want to hug the nice officer so they’re not afraid. Which is revolting to me instead of endearing. This child has already is aware that a grown officer sees his skin as a threat just cause, so here he is trying to comfort

This is in line with my anecdotal experience with Trump voters. I don’t know anyone who is still “Trump’s going to make America great!” They largely find him embarrassing. But they hate Clinton so much that it just doesn’t matter.

I’m curious. What would happen if these conservatives, broke with the GOP and formed a third party? It would probably be made up of them and more than a few moderates, but would it actually hurt America or help?

My dad is highly educated and supports trump. Even he conceded that Hillary won the debate. He of course has to qualify that she had an unfair advantage being a lawyer (or you know, actually preparing). But he fully admits she had the better showing. Anyone who tries to peddle a trump win is a joke.

Actually, I think this is one of the absolute best ways to reach undecided voters.

I don’t know, I saw a couple of people being interviewed after the debate, and they were angry and embarrassed at Trump, but still going to vote for him. They did not seem stupid, they seemed stubborn. They hated Clinton more than they were mortified by Trump.

They did it in kind of a curious way, focusing on all the great American presidents they didn’t support:

This comment is everything. I liked one of two qualified candidates slightly better than the other. How dare I.

Yeah and that’s part of the problem. There are apparently a significant number of people who think Cartman would be a great president cause he makes them laugh

I’m 100% sure Kellyanne Conway did her level best to drill into his head how devastating the misogyny is (those ads are killing him), but it just didn’t register. He doesn’t seem to understand that it’s a problem for women, who are more than half of voters, as well as thinking men, or those with daughters and

Even those fuckers at Fox are starting to realize the kind of monster they’ve created. We are truly living through some interesting times, folks.

He’s Cartman. All grown up.

I love how their faces kind of collectively freeze as he starts to talk about Ms. Universe having “gained a lot of weight.” Like they’re all thinking “Shut up shut up SHUT UP WHAT ARE YOU DOING.”

What do you mean people have to go “whole hog”? A vote counts as a vote. If you don’t particularly like a candidate it doesn’t mean the actual vote counts less.

I don’t know what was better, her mopping the floor with him, or her giving him enough rope to hang himself.
