God I hope so.
God I hope so.
Psst, they’re voting Clinton. They’re just trying to keep their cool kid cred at the same time.
Apart from that, the two largest third-parties in the US are intellectually bankrupt, untested, and unserious--they don’t court talent and they don’t work very hard at getting competent, skilled people the experience they need to be viable candidates--and the nominees they’ve put forward this year are, respectively, a…
Once more, with feeling: voting is about outcomes, not purity, not your identity as a consumer. No third party is going to win this presidential election. Therefore, a protest vote for a third party and an absence of a vote have the same outcome: taking away a potential vote for HRC, which benefits Trump. Everyone is…
I think part of the issue is that it’s extremely difficult for people to separate anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism--and this affects individuals on both sides of the issue. If you’re an anger-filled anti-Zionist, it’s rhetorically easy to slip into anti-Semitism while dangerously conflating Netanyahu’s militarism with…
You would think as the world becomes more progressive you would think anti-Semitism would die down as well. But nothing has changed. Really. Anti-Jewish hatred is still strong as ever.
Also, if you vote for Johnson and Stein.
Part of the thing with trans folks is that it used to be vastly underreported. If the police and family won’t even recognize that someone is trans, how can their murder be counted as a hate crime? Couple that with a rapidly rising national profile and a lot more people being comfortable coming out, and this sort of…
Yeah, they know, that’s why they’re doing it.
Also, since she seems to be a huge dog lover I imagine the scene went “We have to carry him!” and she swooped him up and that was that before anyone could say “I’ll help”.
Yeah, people are a little bit quick to judge here. Before I even got to the veternarian part, I saw that the dog was 15. That’s ancient for a lab, and not something that usually happens unless there are attentive and dedicated owners involved.
Modern dogs really did evolve for this. They exist as they do because they were domesticated. I really believe that they feel deeply that their purpose and highest satisfaction is to serve a worthy and appreciative human. Even if it is by letting the UPS guy know he’d better not try anything or by being by our sides…
As a die-hard rationalist, I agree: everything is connected when it comes to pets.
After looking at the pictures you can read the article.
It sounds like an on-the-spot, improvised solution because they didn’t realize how far his health had declined until it was time for him to walk to his people and wasn’t able to.
This part just sank in for me: A FIFTEEN-year-old black lab. Labs don’t usually make it to fifteen. He must have really loved them to stick around and was just waiting for the wedding so he could leave this plane knowing they had gone through with it.
My dog is going to live forever and ever and ever and ever
exactly. no one would have been talking about this today if he kept his mouth shut. it would have been a story on black twitter for like 4 hours and never mentioned again. what a fucking idiot
100%. When has this ever once mitigated the damage?
