I have no problem with a slow burn.
Sun and Capheus met at Cheonggyecheon, a restored riverside park in the heart of Seoul (they tore down an elevated highway to build it). That was one of my favourite places to wander when I lived there, and there's nothing generic about it.
I assumed it was because she's legally next of kin and the doctor determined Nomi had both a life-threatening condition and one that could compromise her ability to consent.
I thought Capheus only decided to fight because he could sense she was getting worked up to fight. He didn't strike me as a fighter prior to that scene.
The lead character of The Book of Negroes is named Amanita. CBC aired a miniseries adapted from the book earlier this year, so Sense8's is my second TV Amanita in six months.
Capheus is definitely the most hopeful of the group. Even with all the crap swirling around his life he stays upbeat.
I found the group karaoke kind of corny. It was the Nairobi/Seoul fight in the previous episode that made the premise click for me.
I'm finding the Nomi character just so unengaging. Half of her lines seem to be expository or talking about her emotions – I want more show and less tell from those scenes.
I skip it every time. It's so… shrill.
Right down to the Brown Guy Searching For Them (To Awaken Them) and the Shady White Guy Tracking Them Down.
I'll take an uneventful Jamie & Bronn: Dornish Roadtrip over Real Assholes of Pyke any day.
As long as I get to see them riding spiders, I don't care.
What have you been doing, then?
And I'll remember you as the commenter who thinks chatting with someone on a dating app can only lead to immediate sex – because all men only care about sex and will rape women at every opportunity.
Not every show needs to be Game of Thrones. It's time for PP to stop fumbling and flailing and put something in the Win column.
Greasing up and climbing into an air duct.
Competition is good for consumers, which is why capitalists do all they can to suppress it.
Presumably the summer can also kill them, or they'd already rule Westeros.
