Not sure if someone already mentioned - there is currently a tempRoot for this phone over at XDA. They've already made huge strides - true root is right around the corner.

@jeric2k5: The only reason the 2nd gen processor works to that phones advantage is because of how well the new GPU and android 2.2 work with one another. As far as the display itself goes, the differences are marginal. Seeing as AMOLED screens included a TFT layer. Also, my eyes aren't the greatest.

Just like the N1 ... minus the inferior processor. Mines clocked at 1.13GHz and at present still the fastest Android phone I've had the pleasure of using. Swype is my keyboard - after a bit of practice still the most efficient means of text input [imo].

I read somewhere (can't find the source atm) that human body's decay about half as quick today as they did 100 years ago because of the preservatives in our diets. Makes sense to me.

Sweet, just build the rest of the world into it and I can take it to work.
