Exactly. I got 25-26mpg hwy out of my '03 P71 with 3.27's at 75mph no problem.

Yes, you should. Seeing this made me pine for my '03 P71 I sold about a year ago. I was looking on my local CL and to my surprise it appears CV values have increased, especially on PIs. I sold mine with 150K on the clock in super clean rust free condition with a few mods for $3500 and people are asking $4500-5000 for…
On top of ToastyUterus' comments about how it DOES handle really well, my old '03 P71 got 26mpg hwy without cruise control @ 80mph and I've known others to get more out of these cars. That's better than most full size sedans today, even with V6's.
Awesome.
Agreed. I had an '03 P71 and it handled great!
If they choose to run it. At the LeMons race there in July, they didn't. Probably to keep speeds lower in the craptastic cars. I was glad they did this since our '89 Corolla All-Trac is more about handling than power/speed.
I agree. I also think the Super 8 was one of the best Concept cars that year. I mean it was a HEMI V8 powered RWD wagon (back when every mainstream car, minus the Panthers, had V6s and were FWD)!
Fav part of the movie :) Good Day Sir!
Wanna talk about spelling and grammar? In your original post you spelled dude "dood" and wrong "RONG".
Does the Fiesta ST keep the same twist beam rear suspension as the regular Fiesta? Although the Fiesta handles well, it still seems like it's running around with its shoes tied together like that.
Those straps don't look very tight. Imagine trying to explain that your car got hit by a fake cow riding in the bed of a pick up truck on the Nurburgring. At least there'd be video evidence I guess.
You're right, my bad, doh!
That exact MKVIII prototype has been for sale on eBay a few times now. I'm not sure if it ever sold. I think they wanted too much money IIRC.
Yes, the ST will be a manual 6-speed with a clutch. The PowerShift Trans is their version of a DSG, so automated shifting without a clutch, but with a dry clutch and two gearset shafts.
That's a 360 Modena.
Invented the Pontiac Aztek you say? [jalopnik.com]
Yea, I want a Tree Frog Pad now! Looks awesome! LOL
I put it on a set of calibrated racecar corner scales with a 1/2 tank of fuel and it came in at 4242lbs (without me in it of course).
This is true! LOL
