Was part of the closed tests and betas. It’s an alright game. The controls are clunky, the movement’s a bit fat, and the weapon customisation is far too similar to MWII in it being a minefield for some nolife or youtuber to make the perfect setup for each gun and then it all becomes redundant.

I just found 3 too much. Too much what? I dunno. Like it was self-aware but leant in too far? Maybe? That doesn’t really encapsulate my emotions on the game, but it gets in the ballpark I think. I can’t really describe why I dislike the game. I’ve tried playing it when it came out and I was a kid, again when I was a

Yeah, 5 had a tremendous opening. I like open world do all things games, so I really got on well with it. If you liked the opening mission, you’ll really like the rehashed missions in the second act of the game if you ever go back to it and actually manage to get through act 1. lol

a potential Vol. 2 would not include MGS4

Fair enough

But the pronouns are the only part that I can’t change on the fly...

Just a preamble, this isn’t a fight, I completely get where you’re coming from, but this topic is so interesting to me it’s honestly the easiest bait people can use on me.

I mean, to each their own as far as games you want to play go. But yeah. I think ‘virgin’, as reductive a determiner as it is against this group of people, is oddly accurate. So yeah, lack of experience with the opposite sex leads to them misunderstanding/denying/attacking them. That said, my lack of experience never

Just had my first! A daughter, no less! She’ll more than likely grow up as a gamer (but have absolutely no problem if she doesn’t, I must add), so I do quite hope she can enjoy them to the same degree I’ve been able to my entire life.

Anyone with a high-pitched voice, really. Kids, teens with voice cracks, male or female really, but assumed male because well of course it always was.

Completely get it. I don’t mind the sweaty lobbies because I’ve both grown up in them and also had the good luck of being born male (jokes, obviously, but also sort of on an ironically sad note also not). However, my wife has long since dropped her competitive gaming. We might have got together and bonded over

Yeah, that’s one of the extended items in point b) of the second to last paragraph that I cut. I’ve been in a fair few games of CS, for instance, where someone clearly female (sounding) makes a call, and out of the entire 4 other people on her team, the 3 others than me immediately start chatting shit. Whether it’s

Completely agree. But that was my the reason for my quandary. I was just wondering how correct/accurate the data is, and how representative it was of the wider world.

I’ve actually just had my first! lol I’d still consider the £100+ we spent to get the same game twice so we could play together a more expensive expenditure. If only because I like having my child, and I didn’t like buying two games to not play them.

Did you check in the 1950s? The world is currently weighted more towards the male side of the equation. Even with a higher life expectancy in females.

Oh, no. He read to us as well. He started with 100% reading every single night. We went through lots of Peter Rabbit and the like from before I can remember. I should have specified that it wasn’t a complete swap. More of an augment. We had game night for an hour or so every other night for a fair while as we went

Our dad got us into games by swapping story time for game time early doors. He’d play an hour of OoT or a few stars of Mario 64 for us before bed every night. I relish the memories.

Man sad. Women sad. These new rules aren’t the same as Earth’s!?!?!

The gen 1 shtick applies to me way more than gen 3's ‘you don’t believe in climate change’. They’re also not very brutal callouts past gen 1. Some of them ARE very weird, though.
