Oh relax, they aren't suing the baby. They're suing the sperm bank for screwing up.

You are wrong. She isn't saying she doesn't love her kid. She is saying that because they gave her the wrong baby batter, she has to move to a more accepting town. If I payed tons of money to be artificially inseminated with specific sperm with specific genetic markers, I would be pissed too.
I think for a lot of middle-aged women, this truly is a breath of fresh air. A lot of my friends who are in their late 30s to 40s feel as though they have become completely invisible. The visibility of women who are not 26 and younger is important to some of us, and so I'm actually happy that this fashion designer…
Forgive my ignorance, but I thought this was a "woman" problem and not specifically a "woman of color" problem. I understand that women of color have historically been abused and exploited worldwide (and continue to be so). But in this specific instance, were the pics mostly of women of color? No. Were they…
While I agree that yes, women of color have gotten an extremely bad rap — I just do not see the necessity of bringing race into this. Why specifically say "yeah it happens to women but it's worse to women of color"? This is an all around horrific situation, period.
Not sure how this situation is specific to women of color.
Am I the only person who feels really uncomfortable seeing a male OBGYN? I know it's silly, but it really sends me into a tail spin. When my old female OBGYN moved away, her clinic just sort of divvied up all her patients among the remaining doctors and I got stuck with a male doctor. I just quit going and let my…
This film is profoundly depressing. I don't see how anyone could read Belle/Miriam as genuinely empowered by her new career, regardless of what she explicitly articulates. Everyone thinks they have everything figured out at 18. Her porn-positive comments are semi-delusional self-reassurance. For the bulk of the film,…
This article completely ignores the part of the film where Belle has to have sex with a fifty year old man, or pay money to not do the scene. Effectively she is coerced to have sex with that man, which she pretty much owns up to when she's crying in her hotel room. How is that empowering? How is that not blatant…
Awfully telling about our society that the two professions where women routinely make more money than men are modeling and pornography.
I'm sorry, but has anyone seen the first video that Belle made for Facial Abuse? I was shown about 45 seconds of it and was repulsed. The guy beat her in the face. She was holding her arms up to shield herself and crying, and so he hit her arms and pulled them away. It was horrifying. I wish I'd never seen it.
I'd say it's much sadder that porn is one of the few industries in which women out-earn men. I mean, damn.
And, with porn, everything is on my terms. I can say no whenever I want to. I can do what I want to, I can do what I don't want to. I'm in control..
*facepalm*
Experience is hard to attain if your industry isn't very interested in hiring your gender (sex/class/or what have you) in the first place. It creates an insular and nigh impenetrable culture of exclusion.
Nothing more classier when a woman decides to degrade herself. Way to go Nicki!!!
I'm so BORED of hearing about 50 Shades of Grey. I still can't believe that people went crazy (and still go crazy) over this series. I'm just...I'm just shaking my head at humanity.
"There really isn't much to know about me. I mean, look at me."
This line killed me.
I know a lot of people that don't think Beyonce was actually pregnant. Blue may be theirs, but could have been through a surrogate.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. If you don't want to read about, don't click on links. You could easily go about life without any interruptions from Andy Cohen & Gang. I hate that The Bachelor has been on for approx. 45 years but other people seem to enjoy it so who am I to complain?
