I would say I agree with this. I don't think anyone would actually expect Hasbro to win, but if they idly sat by and watched, who'd be next to steal their creative licenses?

Yeah, because money is all that matters right? Let's just forget about all the effort, time, headaches put into the actual development and just concentrate on the money. Who cares if the developers all lose their JOBS, as long as the Publishers get PAID, right?

Oh god no. The Elder Scrolls have always been top tier single player games. Why, oh why, do they have to be ruined by this awful MMO plague? Leave my single player games ALONE.

You lost me at "free to play."

If this is as good as Dragon Age, I'll be taking this one over the finger-numbing click fest.

I agree. Have you seen the Iron Man Anime? Awful! It always feels to me like Anime has "X" number of archetype characters and they cycle through them all (Nerdy guy/girl, charismatic news reporter, brooding "cool" guy, etc). It's so boring.

Somebody really needs to reinvent this genre. I played SWTOR for about a month and even the decent voice acting couldn't keep me compelled to kill another 25 droids or collect another 20 blaster pieces. Sure, it seems the fighting might be a bit more involving this time around, but I'm sure that'll only last when you

Yeah, I can't say I'm pissed about it...but it does kind of show a lack of effort. After all the work put into so many aspects of the game, why such a cop-out?

If this really happens...this could be one of the best things to happen to gaming since...the NES! If they do for console gaming what they did for digital distribution, Sony and Microsoft better watch out.

That's actually a cross over I'd love to see. Batman vs. Ezio!

I would have bought a Kindle ages ago if this was the case. Not having a physical copy of the book is a big deal to me. But If I knew it was sitting on my shelf while I was reading it on my Kindle, I'd be a happy camper (cause it stays shiny and new!). I'm a bit of a book nut/collector though so...

This is a good point, but indie games have become so successful in part because of the internet. With distribution methods such as Steam and personal websites (go Paypal!), it has made it very easy for independent studios to get their games into circulation.

Darn. Thanks for the reply though.

Anyone out there think this may be one of those game that'll..."Suprise" pop up on the PS3 sometime in the future? Man, I hope so.

I'd like to know this too. I'm not a fan of Wii Remote game play...if the Classic Controllers can be used, it'll make me so happy to hear it!

I wasn't trying to quote a title. I was saying the topic is 100-Hour games. The caption from the article mentioned is "Is a 100-hour video game ever worthwhile?" So again, my point stands.

Awesome! Bring it on! I've devoured anything and everything with the name "Assassin's Creed." I do somewhat agree with some of the comments. I would probably have proffered a setting a little more atypical (Assassins versus Samurai anyone?), but I understand the want (aka. MONEY) to starting bring the series closer to

Yes, but the topic is, "Are 100-Hour Games Just A Waste Of Our Time?" It's not, "Are all games a waste of our time?" or anything else. He's not concerned with games of a shorter length.

Do you know why they're the second largest game publisher? Because they do stuff like this. Do you know what that enables them to do? Produce games like this.

And people wonder why the gaming industry is struggling... Keep it up pirate man. Soon there won't be any games left to steal. Thanks for that.
