Mr. Number is actually quite a bit better because of the interface. Google is doing the bare minimum on this. I’d like to see both of them provide the option of not even letting someone leave voicemail, though. Duh.

Changing the time system in the US would take a lot of work and cost billions of dollars. Though once done, we’d save an estimated $433 million per year.

I’m saddened yet not surprised people need the end of the story explained to them. It’s clearly another Laurel vs Yanni case, and you Yanni people seem genuinely confused that it’s Laurel. SMH.

With feeling.

That’s usually a good argument, but not in this case. The worst-case scenario in biometrics is the inevitable theft of biometric data on a widespread scale, forever rendering biometric ‘security’ useless. Think about how badly personally identifiable information is stored these days, and then realize you can’t revoke

Biometrics are the worst idea in computer security EVER. The number one requirement of security should be the ability to change your login (username or email address) in the event of a compromise. Once your biometric data is stolen (examples of this have already happened), you are forever screwed because you cannot

Just don’t let the Replicators get at the Vibranium.

Better hope it’s not Replicators, then.

To be fair, most people here in the US couldn’t correctly place a great many US states on a map.

Phones have been able to combine spectra for a few years now. There will also be a many years long period of migration from 3G//4G to 5G (5G will use different wavelengths than 3G and 4G). For some connections, a lower frequency (600-700) may work better, and for others, something higher (think 2500, 5000 or higher)

This article and other hand-wringing articles like it assume that the number of competitors is the only deciding factor in determining whether there is sufficient competition in the marketplace.

I kind of love the ridiculous asymmetry of #26.

If you reload the page (or initial load), yeah, that one operation is slow. But don’t people just leave it open in a tab?

Too bad every look at the tv C&D doesn’t exactly scream the comics C&D from my youth. I’ve wanted live action C&D & New Mutants for a very long time, and I’m not sure I’m going to like what they deliver.

And the Panny can do 10-bit, and 400mbps All-I. :)

No 4K60p, no 10-bit, even externally. 8-bit 4:2:0 internal, 8-bit 4:2:2 externally.

I had an idea many years ago to transplant the guts of an Apple Mac Mini into an old Apple Dis Drive II - but never got around to it. Much regret now.

There is a good chance you’ll get hit with foreign transaction fees using credit cards, FYI.

A ridiculous amount of work with a much simpler solution - use the ‘Block Element’ feature of uBlock Origin. It can block things that aren’t ads. :)
