You do not want a 5 year old any of these

try and find a used leaf for sale.  there’s like 5 in the whole country according to carmax.

I wouldn’t use that, but I know plenty of people who just can not parallel park.  I had to learn on a 1968 Pontiac Catalina, or as my friends called it, the USS Iowa.  I can parallel park without issues now.

Giant wagon wheels in general. Wheels need to be big enough to clear the brake rotors, and that is about it.

Especially with how shitty many roads can be

Actually, my 2003 WRX had some of the most perfectly laid out stereo and HVAC controls I’ve ever used.

The sound quality of satellite radio is abysmal and I have no idea why anyone would want it.

For sure. It’s basically useless and the only reason it exists is so that automakers can claim fuel efficiency numbers their cars won’t ever really achieve.

Not to mention that many lane keeping systems cause expensive premature/uneven brake wear

THIS x 100000000000000! I’ve never loathed a new feature more in my entire life, and you’ll never convince me that it doesn’t lead to accelerated wear and tear on the starter motor or the engine itself based on how people stomp the accelerator as soon as the light turns green.

Push button start. I like the idea of knowing where the keys are when I get in the car and leave the car. There was that time where I dropped my wife off at the door, while I took the car and the kids to the parking lot. Unfortunately, she had the keys. Putting a key in an ignition and turning it does not require that

Auto stop/start. From what I can tell it really doesn’t impact overall fuel economy that much and just makes for jerky starts at stoplights and stop and go traffic. It’s an automatic motion for me now to turn it off when I start the car.

Love my backup camera. More visibility is always better. It allows me to back up further than I felt comfortable doing before and if I pull through a parking spot, throwing it into reverse lets me see if I pulled through too far or not enough!

Blind spot systems should have been mandated when the rear cameras were or even instead of the rear camera systems (especially the really awful systems that were first put in low end vehicles). Blind spot systems prevent or lessen accidents at speed not just parking lots dings.

The worst are power seats without  memory. So the slow motors makes it take forever to get the seat back where it belongs after someone else drives the car, but it could be easier if someone hadn’t objected to an extra $2 electronic module.

Bigger wheels as a premium option. Why? 18" standard is already too large - why the hell would you want even more rim and less tire? Ruin ride quality AND pay more for tires over time.

Some driving nannys are good, but some are stupid. Lane keep assist, especially when deployed on roads with curves, sucks balls. Yes car, I know I’m touching the right solid white line. Yes, I know what I’m doing on this tight curve. No, I do not need you beeping at me.

I’ve owned my Subaru WRX Limited for four years, and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve opened the sunroof.

Reversing cameras and parking sensors, are they overrated?

But as a Black man, I can say that the Black community doesn’t need marketing that uses our slang.
