Hope they got that asshat’s plates.
Hope they got that asshat’s plates.
I hear there is a very popular auto enthusiast website called Jalopnik where people are into those types of cars, might be worth investigating.
Re: higher seating position. Wouldn’t it be great if we could stop buying trucks, SUVs, and CUVs just to see over all of our trucks, SUVs, and CUVs? It’s a fantasy, I know, but it’s one of my favorites.
It's also not about being young or old, but being an asshole.
You can be 20 and still be a dinosaur, it’s not about the physical age.
Yeah, well, this is pretty much what the morning shift column is about.
I believe the correct answer is “yes.”
Why not both?
If you can prove the dealer did it or knew about it, that’s fraud.
I disagree. Taping over a warning light (or removing the bulb) is not uncommon and it’s dead simple to determine by checking that all warning lights active with the key on. Perhaps buyers aren’t aware of this but a licensed dealer would likely be held to a higher standard in court.
Not all the cars they sell are bad cars.
I don’t know if you’ve already done it, but I think a story about the lifetime of a car might be very educational.
I’m in the middle of a situation like this now. Bought a used CX-9 out of state (about 2 hours away). Normally I’d get it inspected, but the deal was great, and the dealer had over 300 positive reviews from the last year alone online, and pictures showed an immaculate interior and exterior.
Went to pick up the car, was…
This was the first thing I thought of - but honestly how many non “enthusiast” car shoppers know to check if all the dash lights are popping to life? I’d wager none of them.
Yup, I was just about to post the same thing.
Not that I’ve experienced from both dealerships and private party sellers. Only once did the guy seem pretty nervous because my reader also pulls pending codes that haven’t yet tripped a CEL. He wasn’t “car savvy” and was just worried I’d see something he didn’t know about.
These are currently illegal to offer in place of three point belts. Ferrari tried to do this with F40. US federal regulators said no.
The problem with those is that if your car doesn’t have crush zones sufficient to gently decelerate your head, you’re also going to need a HANS device to keep your skull from detaching in a frontal crash. The 3 point belt and airbags work in concert to slow you down as gently as possible.
Tires make such a big difference. Buying 100 dollar tires for your performance car is always going to be a bad time.
Most people do. It's the elite who want us to kill each other for their gain. And they know it. Here is the famous quote from Hermann Goering:
