When checking out a used car, make sure that the check engine light comes on, along with all the other dash lights, when you start the car.
And the company you work for may give to Trump, even if you don’t vote for him. Seems like six of one, half-a-dozen of the other.
OK, so the UAW president can give 162 unemployed members $1K each, and he’s out of money. Barra got $16.2M the first year as CEO of GM. How many would that help?
And I was just saying that a solar panel about the size of a residential panel doesn’t put out enough energy to do much of anything. Charge all day, drive about 100 feet.
A solar panel on the car’s roof would only supply a tiny fraction of the battery’s total capacity, charging all day long. Nissan Leaf has a 24 to 30kWh battery pack, a typical residential solar panel is 65"x39" and typically puts out a maximum of around 200W.
About 90% of the Prius’ efficiency with only about 10% of its outward appearance in terms of green-ass.
Except that no one removes them when there’s no baby on board. Cry wolf, no one pays attention.
If your car was a Pinto, she probably wouldn’t need to.
The need for a back up camera. I was adding that as an issue in addition to your comment about visibility being worse in newer cars. Didn’t make it clear. My bad.
If you’re driving a smaller car and are parked by an SUV, good luck seeing that oncoming traffic before they hit you or blast their horn at you for making them slow down.
I wonder if the concern was doing long downhill runs across mountainous areas using fade-prone drum brakes.
Yeah, I love that Chevy commercial that showed two guys, both young professionals in a downtown area. The one guy gets in a non-descript car and the other in a Chevy truck, and we’re suppose to think that he’s some stud. IRL, he probably doesn’t even know how to open the tailgate.

I’m entitled to my opinion, unless I disagree with you. Got it.
I’ve heard that lane splitting in Texas is quasi-legal. That is, there’s nothing on the books saying it’s illegal. But that’s just what I’ve read on the internet, and we all know everything we read there is true. :)
I’m sure this isn’t a popular position, but I don’t think lane splitting should be legal anywhere. When I rode, I was told to ride to the left of the lane, in part, to help discourage drivers from “borrowing” part of my lane. It was also my understanding that as a motorcycle rider, I “owned” all of the lane I’m in. So…
You could tip the Uber driver 11 bucks, which would treat the driver better. As I understand it, the driver doesn’t have to share the tip with Uber. Plus, you’d get a better rating from the drivers you use.
I’d think that autonomous cars would work best for car sharing. A lot of city dwellers don’t have cars, but could use one on occasion. I’d think that rates would be lower if the companies don’t have to worry about the driver’s ability. Younger generations are probably more open to the idea.
