I don’t know if Schuette and Calley is all that close. A few months ago I’d call Colbeck a dark horse, but he didn’t go as far as I thought he would. He still has more hardcore supporters than either, I’d wager, but I don’t think that’s gonna translate into more votes. *If* Calley gets close it would be voters

And I will say this until the day I die: Michigan was Clinton’s to lose. We were taken for granted until right before election day when Obama and Sanders Hail Marys were thrown. The battle stories I heard from well seasoned organizers I admire who tried repeatedly to raise red flags... Ugh. The underlying frustration

Ffs he actually has a detailed platform, you know. The Sanders connection wasn't even a factor until this week or so. As for the attacks, not a fan of all of em (and I am referring to those on *both* sides) but primaries should be a proving ground for how you'll do in the general. I'd rather the eventual winner go

You have a point, although the last pro Whitmer poll didn’t include cell phones (I genuinely don’t know anyone under 40 with a landline and I’m including the small handful who somehow managed to buy houses).

I mean... You get asked when you donate, no? How does that surprise you?

Schuette.

Yup. I'm honestly amazed his money has gone as far as it has, and that's somewhat worrisome.

I don’t honestly know. In Metro Detroit dear Lord yes you’re probably right Jesus that is fucking undrivable in way too many places (looking at you, Mound Rd). In the rest of the state I’d say they’re indicative of a larger problem (namely our infrastructure is shot to shit and our current state government is a damn

“We do not need another inexperienced rich dude running things. That hasn’t worked out so well at the national level...”

Responding to the grey I don’t feel like ungreying:

Thanks. Feel like I’m yelling into a tornado a lot of the time, though. Most of. But I do love this state, stupid as it may be from time to time (both my love and Michigan itself) so I do what I can.

Eh... It kinda is and I hate to say it. And wouldn’t really matter as Michigan has the worst transparency in the country + Citizens United on Steriods. And there is some grey areas - one of the rare politicians I truly respect (has yet to prove me wrong) asked if theoretically a donation from the CEO of a local large

I’m in a liberal area (trying to stay semi anonymous here so I can bitch) but anecdotally and apropos of nothing two middle aged women I volunteer with have switched to Abdul in the past week.

I'm literally staring at one across the street from my house. Shrug.

1. Sorry for the length.

When I was 16, I got a job at the summer daycamp I’d been attending since I was 8.

Same here, except my friend was liberal and I generally agreed with her ideologically speaking (she was a bit on the fringe-y side but nothing crazy). Then Pizzagate and White Helmets. A mutual friend and I saw it happening and tried to drag her out to no avail. Sigh.

1) Just tip a base 15 and don’t go back. If you aren’t 110% sure your bad service was entirely due to the wait staff and not the kitchen or being understaffed, still tip 20. Then don’t go back. You won’t get that immediate self satisfaction but the entire business will feel it more.

It’s all good. Thanks for helping!!!

The state legislature officially chose Michigander so too bad. One of the rare things they’ve done right in these last several years. Low bar.
