Hey.... Catholic churches do that too. Mine did, anyway. BEST DAY*.
All I gotta say is “blessing of the pets” was the BEST non-Sunday day to have to go to church. Many of God’s Creatures are cute; not all get along.
Oh, don’t get too excited. You can always get rid of the worst fucking choice ever to make your runner up look effing fantastic in comparison, even if they’re absolutely horrible and normally would be called out as such except for that twit they replaced.
Such a disservice not to link to Full Frontal’s takedown of Gorka:
Oh, spot ON.
.... Yeah, look a bit closer. It’s safe to judge.
Ooh, and Arab-American food generally too. Not like you couldn’t find it other places but generally not the depth and breadth we have.

Agreed on pasties, actually. The bakery I used to work at made em (from a recipe brought back from someone who studied them in England too), and they’re good on a cold day. We had a cult following from displaced Yoopers who swore they were the best other than their grandma or mom’s version (we would get constant calls…
Ours are exactly half the size of a tuna fish can. The same cans have been used as long as I’ve been alive (washed, obviously).
Noted. :(

Thanks for the reminder to call my Dad and tell him thank you for being awesome.
I realize I’m in the non Canadian majority, but Trump attacking Canadian trade has been a top story all week on non American news (thanks Canadian citizens who subsidize the CBC broadcast I’m in range of...)
1) I’ve got 4 committed to join for one or the other weekend bookend, 2-3 more who might jump in for the whole thing. Considering it’s a 6 hour drive and 3 of the 7 work with me (and if we all took the same time off our boss would be kinda pissed), not shabby.
I was totes jealous of those multi week camps as a kid -although I only had a few friends then who went on em. Met more East Coast folks in college who got the full thing growing up a la Wet Hot American Summer. Though in retrospect the several single or double week Girl Scout camps I got to go to were pretty…
1) fair enough!
One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had was a Granny Smith apple and cheese grilled... So I suppose it’s not that far off. At least for tart apples.
