"Is that why you're calling yourself Greg?!"
"… That's his name!"

And now this trailer pretty much confirms that Daniel is dead, so there's really just the one interesting character left.

Indeed! It does soften my frustration/confusion with the fact that the entirety of the show's storyline seemed to be taking place in New York. Plus, it gives them so much story potential that I'm eager to see (if we ever will). We can assume that the Machine only has real "love" for Finch and Root etc., but what is

Better Call Saul can cover so much ground in just one scene. It's not just about moving the plot forward. It's about getting to know the show's characters. I get why it wouldn't work for everyone, but I love that show. And I really liked this first episode, too.

I did get tingly when he mentioned something about catching bad guys. Dexter had some good days.

From "Death Benefit":
"Hop on, Shaw. We've got a relevant number in Alaska. We're gonna steal a jet."

Looked it up and you're right - I wasn't very sure about it either. The Wiki does say that the POI from "4C" was relevant even though, technically, Finch and Reese never received his number. Apparently, Root is the only one from the team who received relevant numbers. I think that's what confused me.

I actually thought Norman was making her write that letter at first, to cover up the murder he was going to commit. I never expected it to go down like this - with the two of them being at peace with each other, and Norman actually killing his mother (and himself) out of mercy.

Thanks for the detailed response! It makes sense that they would blame Oberyn's one man mission on Prince Doran, if you put it like that. I wish they had explained it on the show like that, or will in a future episode. They did waste Doran, and Areo Hotah as well. Didn't they have a line somewhere about him having to

I'm 95% sure that he is. They even mentioned on the TV that the undead cave man "said he stayed at a hotel". The fact that the show is moving to Australia is no surprise!

He already knows what happened to Shireen. There was a mostly wordless exchange between him and Melisandre in the last episode, which ended with sad faces.

"This might come as a bit of a surprise, Jimmy, but I would gladly sabotage your career if the situation was reversed!"

I heard the name "Walter" and immeditately started thinking about parallels with Mike/Walter's relationship. That's just me being lazy, but it did kind of work that way as well.

I think it might just be the one that Jimmy made. That just makes it all the more despicable that he's wearing it while on his way to sabotage Jimmy's work (although to be fair, he didn't do that in this episode).

Those scenes with him and Chuck in the darkly lit house always makes it feel like the good old classic villain meetings, conspiring together to thwart the main character. And that description does still apply to those scenes.

True… Another reason why this cliffhanger is not the way to go.

Depends on how hurt he is, I guess. If he ends up losing an arm, I think he's pretty much doomed! I think it will be him next week.

The worst thing is, it's still exactly what the writers were going for when that Wolf had the change of heart. They're not actually trying to make us think Morgan is an idiot.

I understand that. I'm just saying the writers were aware that they were creating a controversial or even unlikeable character, simply because of the role she played in the show. And they explored that idea in her storyline. Skyler could have been the sweetest woman ever, and people would still hate her because she
