Finally found out I know Deacon from being on Whose Line Is It Anyways? for my entire childhood. And speaking of, found this clip of him and Wanye Brady singing cowboy songs. Beautiful.

Love them when they're singing, but they're kind of bland as characters apart from that. Unless their lack of flavor is kind of a flavor…eh, it's only episode 3. Plenty of time to grow!

They had that one conversation in that…inside place that one time! (I definitely noticed that too)

So on the nose. Avery was all for encouraging his girlfriend and being there for her in the studio because he can get an in with White. Waiting for the day his sleaziness is more apparent to the very bland vanilla Scarlett.

Sounds like it's worth reading, despite its shortness and/or unresolvedness. I heard it's supposed to be a trilogy, so maybe that's why it ends…however it ends?

That movie really had brilliant casting. It wasn't my favorite just because there was so much less to dive into in the first three books (and therefore the movie): pretty standard orphans-escape-Olaf thing, but there were some great touches. Still think Emily Browning was awesome as Violet.

I agree maybe morally ASoUE is more complex, but the world itself is way simpler than Gringotts/Hogwarts/Muggles/100 side characters/the rules of Quidditch.

Olaf's whole end with Kit was surprisingly touching. It made me realize how limited the story was by focusing on the Baudelaire orphans: here was this incredibly rich and complicated history between these two adults, and of course they knew nothing about it because of the secrets their parents had kept (and all the…
