My second nominee would be "Smokey" Nagata, the king of the Wangan highway. In his pursuit of speed, he's built some of the craziest cars, been arrested in different countries, all in the pursuit of speed.

I nominate Keiichi Tsuchiya, the "Drift King". I saw some of his early drifting/racing vids from the 80's, pure hoonery.
