@kitsuneconundrum: I think every business has dry patches, SE is no different, I'm just glad they appear to be trying to expand their business in such a way as to continue to produce good games (eg. their aquisition of Eidos)

@Inzoum: agreed, I don't get this weird fanboy mentality of not wanting the other kids to have the nice toys as well (I get why MS and Sony want it, but fans? why?) I mean, I'll bitch when PS3 get an exclusice that looks cool, but I don't get why some people are pissy that y'all are getting Mass Effect- it doesn't…
@jupiter.is.sentient: One of the arguments for going exclusive has alaways been if you're a small dev you don't have to spend the money on a 2nd team or a port or whatever... but I don't know how true that is
@Maakies: I think he meant all the fuss from Square/Microsoft leading up to the release- which doesn't seem to have helped sales in the slightest, ergo commercially wasn't worth it
@Paradox me :D: I think it's partially because FF games are automatically expected to be of a higher standard than generic-FPS-28 so when you get a game that's incredibly un-innovatice (fantastic at what it does mind) it seems worse than a bad "other-game" hype cometh before the fall i s'pose
@MrSnuffles: yeah, but it looks like the americans have somehow combined them with redneck hoe-downs ;-)
@Muel: nah, I want a Sark edition ;-)
@ValeriaHeart: at least they had the good grace to wait several years before coming out of the douchebag closet ;-)
@SG-17: + a bajillion
@CrakinShOt: but as a big wealthy customer they have a certain amount of leverage of the middle-men
@kidko: difference between Foxconn and illegal mines in the Congo is that there aren't too many refugees enslaved to work at Foxconn for fear of being shot
@CoffinDodger (If the typos crap. Blame my keyboard): yeah, but as everyone seems to forget; there's never been a good Omega serial... and I don't see Moffat retreading old ground that so few remember...
@improprietary: total guess, but aren't the uncoloured areas sparsely populated, hence the "use less than 10%" thing mentioned in the NASA quote without going green
@Jonas72: After Dark, short, but packs in all the hallmarks of Murakami
@LeepNasty: But it's the overblown seriousness combined with "dudes in underpants" thing that breaks the immersion and leads to the giggles- like when you see a really bad really 80s action film b-movie
@razzbarry: I hear if you say "80's fashion" three times looking in a mirror, it comes alive and kills you
@thebodypopper: But this is a gaming website, they want to increase their potential customer/audience base, they just want us marketing for free (half joke)
@razzbarry: yeah, it was called "the eighties" and my parents keep talking about it, but I think it's some kinda myth, like Eden or something
@LeepNasty: the injuries and physical fitness sure are real, no-one's denying that, but the idea of it as a "sport" is a joke that even the five-year olds with WWE lunchboxes are in on
@Lauren-Danger-Shaw: you don't just cut back on an economic mentality like that, it takes years for people who understand a different system (especially one as unpredicatable as free-market capitalism) to show their worth
