@Wellmont: But without those assets hundreds of thousands of workers (who had nothing to do with the spill) in dozens of countries lose their jobs and the cost of fuel for the average consumer goes through the roof. Plus they're a multi-national- you can freeze their American assets but they have money in territories

@Rtrain: so we have Bruce Willis suicide bomb the oil spill?

@hwilam: I'm fairly certain it's still BO's oil- that's why the cleanup is their responsibility

@LiC: I always think it's a shame there were never any DS9 movies- I mean it's the perfect setting, what with the political intrigue and the defined myth arcs rather than TNG monsters of the week, which meant taht the films had to weaken the Borg from omni-terror to losers so they could be beaten in 90 minutes

@Darth Meow 504: Ironically, the transporter effect was still the most expensive special effect on the show- if you watch closely in a lot of episodes you only hear the noise, rather than see the shimmer thingy-especially in the last series of TOS

@collex: No, we should be sacred- the South have been fooling us this entire time- they're evil too!! I have proof- they banned "Won't Get Fooled Again" in the 70s!!

@Reavyn29: I dunno, I see where Shini's coming from (i think) i mean think of all the people who spent years of their lives developing the tech and all those folks there flag-waving. While it's no tragedy, it's still fairly sad

@Grey_Area: this wasn't a military rocket launch, it was a benevolent civilian system designed to moniter atmospheric and climatic phenomena.

@outuendo: Avi Arad bought the license a while back...

I hate all these retailer-specific bonuses- I live in Britain and sometiems they get carried over sometimes they don't, but it's a bugger finding out which ones are obtained from which shop.

@TylDurden: The Shenmue sequel is up there with Firefly/Serenity 2-it would be amazing, but all the DVD sales in the world aint gonna birth it- the previous iteration was just too darned unprofitable

@Stymie99: Or they were amazing shots- they were never trying to hit anyone...

@Richard Cozby: Can't we get one Kotaku movie review (pf which there are several) without the endless cycle of "this is no game!" the Kotaku elves can post whatever they damned well like- I like to think of it as the TV reviews in my newspaper- not news, but I read 'em anyway

@Jordan White: because of the curious relationship between the USA and video games- western video games need to sell well in America to succeed but the American public and media still sees games as broadly bad. The USA has a strong nationalistic/patriotic/the-semantics-are-irrelevent mdeia sectro prone to

@ObiHaiv: I think he thing is in Western culture years and years of Godwin's Law and terms like "grammar nazi" floating around have taken the edge off of calling someone a Nazi- which is a bloody awful example of desensitisation (sp) no matter what you're political stance

@fourzerotwo: I don't mind political discussion, it's just that it's a bloody rare thing. after all discussion is a two-way thing...

@AllSystemsDown: Yeah- and where's every other mass murderer ever's poster?
