Just want to be sure here, you’re ok with a celebrity or other personality if they said comments years ago but have apologized or haven’t done anything wrong since? Seems kind of out of line with the other Cancel Culture sentiments that get thrown around here.

This is such a weird article. Like, it’s obviously trying to say something, but it just won’t say it directly. It’s like someone talking incessantly about hats in the hopes that eventually the person they’re talking to notices the new hat they’re wearing.

White gay men believe their privilege gives them a pass to be reckless with their actions.”

Not even gay but chill with the blanket generalizations. Writing for The Root doesn’t give you a pass to be reckless with your accusations.

Why has Eddie Murphy been forgiven for his homophobic comments in the past? Others aren’t afforded the same courtesy at all.

Andy Cohen might be a shit bag, but defending Eddie Murphy is not exactly a hill I’m willing to die on. As far as I’m concerned he’s another piece of shit.

Kids are also remixing the hell out of it and making tons of videos with it on YouTube and TikTok. (My two kids are obsessed with it as a result.) It’s a perfect storm of a good-to-goodish song, technology and a great story.

I’m sure Republicans think it’s just hilarious that liberals don’t want gropers representing them in the Senate, whereas conservatives are only too happy to vote for rapists and pedophiles because it’ll really own the libs.

I imagine Republicans sit around cackling at how they benefited from the values of liberals while gleefully abandoning all values whatsoever. Liberals completely collapse when accused of wrongdoing, and conservatives don’t even need to try to do right.  Hats off, boys - in your trip to nihilism, you’ve won well. I’m

Go fuck yourself.

He didn’t interact with any of his other sons until they were in college. He took a special interest in Ivanka because he’s been molesting her for 30+ years.

Love stories for the bourgeois. Comedy for classists. Tina Fay found a perfect vehicle for her worldview in adapting this.

This is weird bad faith concern-trolling.

“Dear sweet adorable baby Jesus.
Please finally let Trumpy fly into such a hate filled twitter rage that his syphilis riddled brain explodes and runs out his cranial orifices like an orange Slurpee from 7-11.”

Instead of the lardy, mean-as-a-snake octagenarian-adjacent shut-in he is now?

I hate you. My favorite scene is when Paul Rudd’s character is bashing at a door with a fire extinguisher, sees Michael, and loses his cool for a moment. Just a silly bit from Rudd that always stuck with me.

Oh, and I hate you.

No Rudd, no dice. I actually am not a huge Halloween fan, but after a friend showed me Paul Rudd beating the hell out of Michael Myers, I want to see it again.

And without denigrating a portion of the public, this country, or other countries while doing it.

Democrats (and other liberals) need to commit to vote for the Democratic nominee even if it is not someone they wanted or if the nominee is not progressive enough or is too progressive. And in particular, Bernie supporters cannot stay home/vote 3rd party if (as I assume) he is not the nominee. If Republicans can rally

“We are all fucked if he wins 2020.”

Anyone who still has the slightest bit of respect for trump apparently has never met a middleschool aged brat who just got in trouble. The parallels to his constant behavior are too egregious to ignore
