Many people, including the cosplay nerds who get excited about comic book stories, expect Ali to be nominated for an Emmy for his performance in the 2019 season of “True Detective.”

I can only imagine how he talks to the parole board, correctional staff, etc. He’s probably been deemed a clinical psychopath. 

The clear highlight of this episode was Alonzo’s beautiful “Look Ma, I’m on tv!” smile to the camera as he murdered two people. I shouldn’t, but I absolutely adore him. I was thrilled when they show that exact moment in the subsequent episode recaps.

I’m disheartened by the lack of comments because the new episodes were such a must-watch for me and these reviews deserve more attention, but hopefully it’s just that I’m getting in somewhat early for once. And these are lengthy episodes so I appreciate all the thought you’re putting into them instead of just cranking…

These reviews (like the season itself) are excellent. Thanks for reminding us about who some of the old characters cameo-ing are and book connections... it’s been a long time.

I like to believe Mercer is still in prison because of bad behaviour. That guy is an obnoxious ass, I could see him getting himself in trouble in there. 

Snipes can portray Whistler, Blade’s sensei. Do this Marvel, so the OGs will shut up telling everyone how pissed they are about how Snipes got robbed.

I’m kind of getting the impression that the show is actually going to be taking a critical position the idolatry of Rorschach with his army of followers. Nothing about the way they’ve been shown so far in any of the promotional materials screams, “Hey, aren’t these guys cool/good?” to me.
