Doing a proper 2017-style Secret Warriors series with Karnak, Daisy, Inferno, Kamala, and Moon Girl could be so much fun.
The second I saw that the next season is the last is the second I realized that that’s when they’ll bring (present day) S.H.I.E.L.D. back to the movies.
I think she’s been unfridged three times by my count. The pilot, the second time Ollie thought she was dead, and then the third time was when she actually died and was then resurrected by the Lazarus Pit.
“there were too many lesbians in Batwoman.”
All this sounds good, actually. Pilots are often the places where the writers are still trying to figure out who these characters are and how they all fit together and so most pilots, uh, kind of suck. (The ones that don’t are rare.) Hell, often entire first seasons suck because the writers are still trying to figure…
It’s the best fucking thing.
Both images are based on da Vinci’s The Last Supper:
Jed Whedon said there may be a comic book of the characters’ adventures in space, that these stories take place before Avengers: Endgame
I completely forgot Sara was unfridged.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and soon they’ll turn on each other. Hopefully we can all work together to accelerate that process.
Quake should train Kamala Khan and Miles Morales.
Technically yes, but there’s a vast difference between “Sara Lance: character who exists to be slept with and then die so people have a reason to hate Oliver” and “Sara Lance: character in her own right, who shows up with a League of Assassins girlfriend”. Sara wasn’t envisioned as an LGBT character back in the pilot,…
Yeah, I think people forget that the pilots for all these shows (Supergirl excluded IMO) are a bit of a climb. But they have always found that sweet spot in the end.
Counting the days to the reunion film !
Imma miss the chemistry of the cast the most. Say what you will about Joss Whedon and his legacy, but he and his team really can put together a really good group of actors together.
The most amazing criticism I ever read was that “there were too many lesbians in Batwoman.” It’s good for everyone that you can’t shoot someone through a computer.
There is SO much more I want to say about this pilot, but I don’t want to spoil it. Just know Jill has already had to suffer many DMs about the silly bits, the goofy bits, and even the really, really good bits.
I don’t like Batman/Superman related shows where they have Bats or Supes ‘missing’ or ‘retired’ or whatever. Supergirl did it right when they brought the second best (hmmm...second best overall, first best Post Crisis version) live action Superman into their show. The end.
