(I like parenthesis too!)

What evidence is there that he actually went to the game?

I support their decision. I just think there were better ways Fox could have prevented the story from getting out than not even airing the game.

Associating win totals with managerial skill is your biggest error, and since that is the crux of your argument, it is a terrible argument.

Ignoring the talent levels of the teams he inherited, implying Maddon somehow was gifted an obscene level of talent, ignoring the track records of the Cubs and Rays managers before he got there, ignoring Yost’s penchant for making questionable at best managerial calls, etc etc.

But far be it from me to call someone out

The problem with this is that a lot of the points you’re making are bad and/or wrong.

Cain, who is one of the Royals’ most dangerous hitters and who had never attempted a sacrifice bunt before last night, admitted after the game that it was his idea to take two shots at a bunt before striking out on the third pitch:

Was he reading from a damn thesaurus?

No, fuck these guys and fuck everyone from MD and VA crying their asses off that they can’t park in DC due to bike lanes. They don’t pay DC taxes. I do and I would like a safe place to ride my bike.

No, that’s if there were 64 players in each tournament. Doesn’t matter if it’s the same 64 people, as long as those two people are 2 of the 64. Which is exactly what the case is (in however many tournaments they played in common).

I’m calling bullshit on that story, for the reason that he says it happened twice. If it happened to him twice it would have happened to a lot more people and it could be corroborated to some degree. Not to sure about the 2nd story either. Gave up then!

Can I get a transcript? I don’t really want to hear any of you guys talk.

The only thing less convenient for people who come to a website to read articles than doing this in podcast form would be carving it in stone and hosting a viewing at a museum in Iceland.

No no no no.... It’s better than that. “What better way to celebrate victory over Japan than create a video of us attacking the country that saved us from Japan?!”

I think you misunderstand the job of street cops. They don’t solve crimes, they aren’t detectives and the requirements to be one are quite low seeing as it is entry level. They are law enforcement, usually meaning they get a call that you broke the law and they come to haul your ass to jail with sufficient evidence.

You’re not much of a linguist. It’s obviously sexist, but his deflection is a normal part of conversation. This is how people talk. Logic has nothing to do with this.

The article said they were talking about this after ten minutes of baby talk with a dog. They were obviously just fucking around in the office. Obviously the way they talked about this woman was wrong, but I think there’s a pretty huge leap to be made between “shooting the shit at the office = unable to make logical

No. Oh my god when jezzies try to act like they know social behavior we all lose...he’s ignoring the comment about the wife’s opinion because he doesn’t care. He knows he’s old enough to form his own opinions and will do so. Rather than reflect on the wife’s opinion which could lead to discussion about someone else’s
