A large part of why I ride is the absolute integration of myself and the motorcycle. I have control over EVERYTHING and I enjoy that, so I don’t think a DCT bike will ever be in my future.

I’m looking forward to it. As someone who commutes a lot in stop and go traffic, I really don’t want to be bothered with shifting. I know motorcyclists are a luddite bunch and I am probably the odd duck, but I just see shifting at pointless given current technology.

Torque at low RPM is pretty much the name of the game in cruisers. It especially doesn’t help your horsepower numbers when you’re low compression and air-cooled. The Vulcan 2000 is only good for about 100 hp, so its not like it’s a Harley-exclusive trait.
