I find the Mimic Tear nerfing discussion interesting because I find that, while it may do less damage, it’s still a complete tank and can basically just sponge damage while you either stand off with sorceries or opportunistically jump in with strong attacks.

The Wave of Gold skill from the Sacred Relic sword is the ultimate answer to all ganky enemies. You just have to beat the game to get it…

My +10 mimic tear could survive Malenia’s whirlwind attack with only taking a slight amount of damage, although the same attack basically one-shotted me with like 35 vitality.

Baldwin was allegedly practicing maneuvering a shotgun.

That’s not playing devil’s advocate, that’s the conclusion any rational person would come to reading this story and watching the video.

Missing most of the senior officers at Enron, particularly Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling.

Abolish the IOC and figure something else out.

I miss the days when we could be blissfully unaware that these people were sitting next to us on a plane or whatever, but COVID has been like the death of Superman waking the parademons or some shit. But I dunno, maybe it’s a wake up call to see just how deranged a large portion of our population really is.

The Ice Road was surprisingly not terrible (except the CGI)...although it was filmed in Feb 2020, so I guess it isn’t really a COVID movie.

Virginia rider here. I love the idea of lane splitting ON PAPER, but man-oh-man would I be really hesitant to do it in real life here. Maybe once it got legalized and riders did it more, drivers would adapt, but even filtering on a bicycle can be tough here because people crowd the lines and there tends not be

Uh, no. The Raptor driver was being a dick to the Accord driver, but wasn’t swerving in and out of lanes and making moves that were imminently dangerous to other drivers who were just minding their own business. The Raptor driver is guilty of being a dick, the Accord driver is guilty of driving incredibly recklessly,

I also was unfamiliar with the character and enjoyed the first movie quite a bit. I thought Cruise was believably badass even though he’s not a big guy.

I think the rule of thumb is, if your interest rate is higher than the average yield of an index fund (~7% historically), it generally makes more sense to pay the loan down as quickly as possible. If your interest rate is lower than that, just pay it off on schedule.

I had a hard time staying awake during the French Connection and had to actually look up and confirm that the car chase I’d just watched was really “that amazing car chase” because I was extremely underwhelmed.

Thought this was the Guardian Ape fight from Sekiro when I first scrolled past the story.

A 200hp car can’t get to 116mph in the span of a city block though. Power *is* the key factor here. There’s a reason a lot of countries don’t allow new motorcyclists to purchase or ride powerful bikes. Sure, some 250s might be able to hit 116mph (eventually) but it can’t yeet you into the stratosphere with a slight

He’s a cheater and fraud filing a doomed-to-fail lawsuit. What’s the “positive spin” to that?

I’ve seen enough heist movies to know these were obviously getaway cars ditched after a job.

In fact, if you buy a bike at all today, you will probably never even encounter your bottom bracket at all. It will be trouble free, maintenance free. It will not be a thought that enters your mind.

I don’t love Pizza Hut, but they are nowhere near the bottom of my list. That said, I haven’t had it in YEARS, so maybe that would change if I tried it today.
