What's his take on Ducati's new wings? Does Honda plan on moving that way?

One of things I like most about riding is that requires a bit of skill, which includes shifting, and is basically impossible to master completely. It turns even mundane tasks like commuting into a chance to hone skills, push limits (just a tiny bit), and experiment with new/different techniques.

I have mixed feelings. On one side, I think technical innovation is good and I think making motorcycling more accessible is something we should strive for. However, I look at the proliferation of automatic transmissions in cars has made it so any idiot can drive one. Absent greater levels of automation, maybe we

Don't forget to not engine brake...

At least when you get a tire puncture you can just pull a spare off an old Model A?

Martin was wasn’t utilizing the Leg Wave, considerably slowing his times through the corners. Amateur hour...

I’d rather have an “alert driver when they try to change lanes into me” monitor, but this could be interesting. At least make it BT so it can audibly alert me through my Sena headset...

In the DC area, ADV bikes seem to just be synonymous with “commuter” bikes. I mostly see three types of riders around town (there are more, but very infrequent), the cruiser types, squid-ish sportbike riders, and ADV riders. Inevitably, the ADV riders are rocking the aluminum boxes, wearing Roadcrafters, and running

Was thinking of this also...for someone wanting a bike that can get around the city, but also do some off-roading, is this worth the premium over a Scrambler. For most people, it seems like the Scrambler may be the more sensible bike overall, as it’s lighter, presumably shorter, and loads cheaper. Granted, a Scrambler

Only marginally related...what do they do with the press bikes? Hand them down to dealers to use as demos or sell used?

I’d say I agree with the reasoning, but it’s a feedback loop of sorts...company is in dire straights, so people don’t buy because they’re concerned about dealer/warranty support, parts, etc...lack of buyers means finances remain terrible, and so on.

I hope this gets built simply for the incongruent novelty of seeing people with leather vests and bandanas riding ADV bikes.

I'm inclined to believe this story is BS, but I have that same shirt (but in red) and am now going to be very self-conscious when I wear it...particularly since I live in the DC area. Damn you internet.

Paid $9500 for my Street Triple R, with $500 of in-store credit at the dealer (hello heated gear!), so $14.5k for a Thruxton seems majorly crackpipe to me. I think one would be better off getting a Street Twin or T120 and throwing on a set of clip-ons.

I subscribed to BEIN just for MotoGP/WSBK and their cycling coverage, but on XFINITY they’re lineup shows “TBA” for like half of the channel schedule, and it doesn’t list MotoGP or WSBK as a “series,” so I have to set my DVR separately for each event and not more than a few days ahead of time. It’s maddening.

As someone under 6', am I condemned to lusting after this while knowing it’s too tall to handle on a day-to-day basis?

I never thought I'd get a ZX-10-induced boner, but here we are...

I’m just starting to get into WSBK (and soon MotoGP), so I’m on the lookout for good write-ups of the series. You've made Lanesplitter far and away my favorite motorcycle-related site, so I hope that you continue to recap the races and do more related stories.

Investigators would later deem Qantas Flight 32 the most damaged Airbus A380 ever to land safely.

Now playing

I will go see this if there is even the slightest chance there’s one scene as good as this:
