Maybe you just have really bad taste?
Maybe you just have really bad taste?
That is utterly wrong. Catholics aren’t required to tithe. And the vast, vast majority of Catholics do not do so voluntary.
The Catholic Church has done a lot of harm in its existence, but it’s also done a lot of good. For hundreds of years it essentially was the only social safety net for enormous numbers of the world’s population.
My girlfriend really got into the show, so I watched a few but I found that Mary Berry woman kind of mean. And pretty arrogant considering I doubt if she was put in the same situation as the contestants her stuff would be measurably better (yeah, yeah, famous chef, decades of experience, blah blah, but I doubt that…
Did you know that back in the 16th century, all the female characters in the Fast and the Furious were played by men?
Never said it did.
“What’s better than a frothy ensemble comedy about the vicissitudes of marriage, set in the perpetually-sunny Los Angeles?”
“powerful plaintiffs have been known to run a vital journalistic publication into the ground a time or two.”
No, the conversation changed. We were talking about Crichton’s abilities as a writer.
Was Furious 7 the seventh best movie in the history of cinema?
I can’t even figure out what you’re trying to say to me here. Is it “you can’t criticize an artist unless you are better than them?” Because if so, I doubt you follow that credo.
You think popularity is a symbol of quality? Furious 7 made over a billion dollars. He wrote very accessible airport thriller/science fiction. He wasn’t a bad writer, but I don’t think financial success necessarily means quality.
We have his complete opus to evaluate his writing abilities. He doesn’t do the kind of complex, multilayered, densely symbolic thing that the new Westworld is.
The New York Times has a weird decades-long history of great reporting and terrible, terrible columnists. Dowd is famous for just being terrible.
Jamaica, Queens probably more Caribbeans than the other Jamaica.
Unlike Brooklyn and Manhattan, Queens actually still has New Yorkers, too, instead of hordes of white hipster transplants from the suburbs (uhh, sorry 80% of Jezebel posters, no offense).
You’re going to have to explain what you’re pretending to be shocked over.
And Joy especially did a good job creating that series for him.
I am a long way from millenial years, and I’m quite familiar with Crichton.
Other than the basic premise, is there any resemblance to Crichton’s work? Creator seems apt, especially considering that, honestly, she did a much better job than Crichton ever could have.
