I’m sure Kara and her black grandmother appreciate you educating them about the black community.

After watching Steve Harvey’s comedy and hearing some of his views on women and relationships I developed a visceral dislike of the guy, so I hate-read his memo and I really couldn’t find anything unreasonable.  

For traditionally-thought-of-having-“white”-characters-literature transferred successfully to the Caribbean, and (rightfully) beloved by white people, I give you:

I’ve never felt that passionately about any modern day famous figure, either.

I mean, any “historical” writing done by Shakespeare is done for a specific audience, so of course the play is not an accurate depiction- to have written it otherwise would have been ridiculous.

Meh, it’s possible that he was unfairly treated by history. Personally I couldn’t bring myself to care enough about it to fund a documentary, but English history of that time period is subject to a ridiculous level of bias and propaganda.

Yep. I am continuously shocked at the puritanism that comes out over this. At least reactionary right-wing evangelicals are consistent, unlike a lot of self-professed “sex-positive” liberals who do mental gymnastics to explain why their pearl-clutching is really feminist or something.
