Come on, this country has a long history of discriminating against wealthy, educated, white people. FIGHT THE POWER!

I saw the movie but can’t really remember the characters; was she a sympathetic one?
“New reports have said that drone operators face enormous levels of stress, guilt, and trauma as a result of their jobs.”
I would make fun of him, but I’d rather not get a guy who can almost squat 855 pounds mad at me.
It’s not so much stickier as he’s probably given up. Believe me, she still has at least a hope of a political career while he does not.
Doesn’t that make sense though? I mean, if he puts drama into his comedy and doesn’t like the distinctions made between the two then it would be appropriate for him to criticize the category.
He has sex with consenting adults who are significantly younger than him. And is thus history’s greatest monster.
Wow, yeah, that sounds a lot worse than laughing during a conversation as she walks past.
Yep, this. The self-deprecation may make sense in that case, but for most of the jokes it was other characters referring to her, which made no sense.
Fair enough.
If she made up a story for the RS article that her own friends treated her unsympathetically, why would you believe her characterization of Eramo’s actions?
“So I have some empathy for Jackie. Something’s wrong there. The blame should go exactly where it belongs: on the Rolling Stone for not fact-checking.”
Because they got the headline of the article so absurdly wrong, I don’t trust the writer of the article to be attributing that quote correctly. Frankly, based on where it is in the article and how it’s phrased I suspect they got it wrong and it’s the PTA who rationalized the situation by the size of the museum.
That’s kind of funny, since as a Florida licensed attorney I have a pretty good idea of the legal and organizational status of a PTA in this state.
Love all the crazy assumptions you’re pulling out of nowhere about what the school can or cannot do. Why not just admit you were wrong and move on?
Is the hill metaphor going to be the new “problematic”?
Unfortunately what she also did is completely confuse the PTA and the school as organizations. I agree what the PTA did is ridiculous, and this sends a terrible message to girls, but the petition is aimed at the school (including suggesting people call the school to complain).
Not that Florida public schools are a bastion of sane policies, but there doesn’t seem to be any indication that this is school-sanctioned or school-approved.
Why does the school get blamed for a non-school organization organizing a non-school event on non-school property?
