I was in high school and college in the '80s. I can't say it was any better than any other decade, just a formative/fun one for me. I can't say I miss any of the clothes ( still have my stirrup pants), the hair was all BIG HAIR but I think there was some weird fun stuff.

I am a veterinary technician and have worked with many breeds. I can't say what it's like to own one, but handling one at the clinic? They give none of the body language signs other breeds do, which (for me) makes them inscrutable. One of the few times I've been bitten was by this breed - other dogs I can detect…
I can't believe I'm defending Jon of all people, but it's one thing to expect a baby, and another to get that many (what was it, 6?8?). One would hope though eventually you'd say well crap time to work my ass off. I didn't watch that much of it.

We had a mostly-no-sugar/junk food policy in my house, so it was eat the white bread - Lucky Charms - candy - potato chips - jam festival otherwise known as the sleepover.
All of these criticisms are completely valid, so I cannot explain nor understand why I like this movie (I've watched it several times.)
I LOVE Christmas. What I do hate is the relentless commercialism and materialism and gerbil-wheel of attending parties (often given by people you've not seen the rest of the year), finding and sending cards, buying gifts for people who seem un-giftable, feeling like if you haven't made exquisite cookies from scratch…
