Earlier in the pandemic I visited Costco and they were limiting how much meat people could buy due to the shutdown of processing plants..in your fair state among many. So it makes sense that you’d experience shortages and/or high prices too.

I looked at a chocolate bar in the dollar store. Yes, I was weary, but as soon as I read it was produced in Germany on the label, I bought the sucker. It’s good, too. I went back and bought more.

Milka is better than any American chocolate.

I don’t know where I learned it but I used to buy tandoori paste in a jar and mixed it with yoghurt to marinade the chicken in, and then bbq’ed. Delicious.

I have had the ramen salad where the noodles were cooked! It was different and not bad.

I never tasted “Chinese” salad or frog eye salad until I moved to the PNW in the 90s. I found both interesting and delicious. You do not want to hear how my non-Italian coworker pronounced the acini di pepe pasta. Is that what you use in your frog eye too?

I have eaten cereal with milk out of a mug, but I still use a spoon.

Vancouver has mild winter weather, like most of the Pacific Northwest. It’s not all the Yukon, you know!
