Looks like my mom’s old-fangled pizzelle iron. She would bring it out when we were barbecuing and cook the pizzelle on the remaining heat from the coals.
It showed up. Nice! I have a big problem with the American habit of eating ice cream out of cereal bowls. It’s too much! Sherbet cups or ramekins are the best size for ice cream, IMHO.
The grappa is heated. I believe it gets flambéed and then you drink from it once the flames subside. I drank from it once, at my Northern Italian brother-in-law’s house.
