It’s worth watching difficult art films at the theatre. You’re more likely to finish something that doesn’t cluck tight away, whereas at home you’re just as likely to turn it off or spend the movie looking at your phone.

No Woody Allen either. I’m not mad, but what are these lists even about if they can’t include rapists and child molesters?
Conan never should have done the TBS show. It’s a shame he didn’t just quit the talk show grind and write again. I guess he’s not interested in that. His podcast is pretty good, but not really comedy. Would have liked to have see him attempt a movie or sitcom.
He feels young, but I don’t think he ever won’t. I don’t buy him as the leader of a team, or a very capable adult. But maybe he would surprise me.
That says more about you than it does me.
Does this say a lot more about them than it does you?
Most people can’t tell the difference, or at least don’t consider the difference big enough to matter.
Is it? Every new movie I see gets ripped from streaming.
She was a minor character. It was more like having the same Alfred across the Burton Schumacher Batmans.
Gal God’oh
Almost everything he did with Adam McKay was good, because McKay knew how to make him play to his strengths. Anchorman is the best thing either of them has ever done (I could entertain an argument for Step Brothers).
I’m with you. I always thought the Avengers were pretty well known, enough that they all had Saturday morning cartoons in the 60's. Captain America is referenced all the time, if not specific stories about him. Hulk had a very popular TV show. Thor was well-know enough for several movies to make reference to him (Adven…
Do you mean Fredo?
They were really planning on hanging the whole thing on Black Panther and Doctor Strange, which is like passing over Sonny and Michael because you want Fredo to be the Godfather. It’s like giving a spinoff to Joey. It’s like doing a Star Trek movie about Wesley Crusher.
The Singer movies did a great Professor X and Magneto (Stewart and McKellan), a great but inaccurate Wolverine and Mystique, a good Nightcrawler (X2), a novel take on Iceman and Rogue, a well-cast but off-tone Beast, and every other character was shit. Cyclops and Storm were underdeveloped, Jean Grey was miscast,…
I can’t understand why they haven’t started doing Fantastic 4 yet. It’s the hook they need now that Cap, Ironman and T’Chala are dead. They need somebody to anchor the story, and it doesn’t seem like Spider-Man is going to. Doctor Strange whiffed it, Captain Marvel feels like she’s actually appeared in next to…
I think the lack of anything that seems like it’s building towards anything comes directly from the post-credits scenes being used for bullshit instead of actually teasing other movies. It would be nice to stick around until the end and see something that actually hints at another movie, AND actually pays it off.
You really should have begun this with “Actually...”
Fred Willard did it at least 25 years later.
They still make Scooby Doo cartoons. Nothing will die.
