I think it's more like changing the pig's name from Spiderpig to Harry Plopper. It still fills the crap silo (with a little help).

Seconding Echofon. I've been using the free version for a while.

I'm downloading through Apple Software Update and didn't have to hunt for the appropriate version.

All the radiation in the world? 1080p capture is worth— I mean, my cell-phone-induced brain tumors and I will never use it.

*drool*

Are these the Head SAR scores or the body SAR scores? My LG Rumor Touch rates at .43 body (tying for 11 here), but .78 head.

I've seen a couple of guides to upgrading the drive in a time capsule, and IIRC, they involved putting the old and new drives in enclosures or in the case and cloning the old one to the new one. I might be remembering wrong though... Off to ifixit to check!

"WOW" as an exclamation of amazement, not as an acronym.

Make Zoolander's phone. Then we'll talk.

People like you are even more annoying. I'm not forcing you to read my opinion. It's there. If you don't like it, move on.

Odds are they are going to be

This looks terrible. I hope there's an option to go back to the damn interface I've been using for almost 20 years. This interface is great for tablets, but if I had to use this interface every day for everyday computing, I can't guarantee the safety of the computers around me.

When I saw the headline, I thought it was one specially designed so network outages don't break everything else.

I have no use for the cloud. I'm still using and loving flash drives everything I need to take files with me. I have a free MozyHome account for a small part of my Documents folder, that's it. And I have everything Mozy backs up and then some backing up to an external HDD. The only time I'll need to restore from

I only use the cloud for offsite redundant backups. I keep backups of my stuff on an external HDD, and only a select few files are /additionally/ backed up online. I'll restore from the cloud as a last resort. If it takes 5 hours to restore a backup from a USB2.0 HDD, how long do you think it would go over 5M

"With iOS you just get iOS"

"vehicle instrument clusters" Yay! Now my passengers won't know how fast I'm going!

I'm in Firefox 4 and the gif is fully animated, it just jitters to a different size at the beginning and end of the loop.

@Worf: I had completely forgotten that!
