@acidedge76: That'd be an awfully small kickstand.

@Dezerus Richardson: Perhaps they're making the iPad2 with so much shiny metal that they can't fit an antenna in anyplace without the signal getting screwed up, so it will be for the AirPort adapter to connect you to wireless networks. Only $129.99* and 2mm thick and 700mm long (don't snap it!).

@Alicemagic: Continuously writing data, like a swap or vRAM area, on a solid state disk significantly shortens the life of the disk. If iPads swapped the RAM to the flash disk, the internal storage would fail prematurely, possibly even before you'd see the battery losing capacity.

I don't like vi-based text editors or emacs. I do like nano a lot however. But for number of features and ease of use, I'd pick Notepad++ in Windows or Gedit in linux.

@DeeJayQueue: I agree, because that cut would have punctured the Lithium-ion battery, which upon exposure to oxygen, would have reacted very violently, with lots of flames.

Splashtop has been around for quite a while. Asus has been bundling ExpressGate with most of their laptops and many motherboards for a while now, which is just a rebranded Splashtop (the about screen even says Splashtop).

Microsoft is missing a big niche. Use a higher-resolution sensor, and put three or four of them in a room for the ultimate security camera.

@Gary_7vn: In which the strippers are stripping infinitely?

@undeadmachine: In which the strippers are stripping infinitely?

I'm using home sharing on my home network and it lets me connect both accounts seamlessly. That's right, I can download from the other computer even though it purchases through a different iTunes account.

If this appeared a few weeks ago, all the idiots would be gifting all their buddies the pedophile book that was on amazon for a short while.

There's a pattern in the home editions: 98 - usable, Me - PITA, XP - usable, Vista - PITA, 7 - usable. Holding out for Windows 9.

@bitslammer: until the peppers shattered. Peppers don't usually shatter.

I have used the Penagain and the Pilot Precise. They are both awesome; the Penagain for comfort and the Pilot Precise for line quality.

If they can't prevent this from happening on the ground, how in heck are they going to stop something from happening in the vacuum of space or the harsh heat of reentry?

I use whatever is cheapest.

@freedomweasel: I've heard of manufacturers trying to get away with voiding your warranty for installing Firefox.
