@jeremiah89: Even better would be to put some sub-headings in each of the categories. For example, in free stuff you could have iPod/iPad Apps, Music, and Software.

@AlienSix: Just come into my office...half the computers I open up to add ram, swap hard drives, etc. are this dusty!

@daveywest: I agree with FoxCMK. I would also recommend watching the movie Fireproof which is about a husband and wife in your similar situation. It's really good and I recommend going to www.fireproofmymarriage.com

@mr_martin: Have had the same thing happen to me before too. After reloading the page a time or two it normally works. If that fails, restart Chrome, and if that fails, do a system reboot.

@criosray: What I said earlier still applies...different setups = different results.

@criosray: Did you do a fresh install of 7? or did you do an upgrade? or did you purchase your PC with 7 already installed?

@criosray: Let's not let this get out of hand here. I'm simply stating how it has been for me. Your results might be different depending on your hardware, setup, etc. I'm not saying that you're lying, I'm just telling you how it worked for me, my hardware, and my setup.

@criosray: I don't know what version you installed, but my install only took about 8 GB.

@criosray: Yeah, it takes a while sometimes. Normally it isn't quite as long, but 7 is MUCH faster.

@criosray: No, my XP was coming out of Stand By, not hibernation. 7 is much faster in this regard.

@geneh001: Sleep in Windows 7 is miles ahead of Stand By in XP. On my netbook, XP would take about 15 - 20 seconds (at least) to open to a log on screen, but 7 takes only 2 seconds. Also, 7 is better on battery life.

@MacAttack7388: While there may be some bias, Windows 7 really is better overall than XP on a netbook. I never used Vista, but went from XP to Windows 7 on mine, and it runs beautifully with only 1 GB of ram.

@KyleW: If you can afford it, upgrade to Windows 7. I'm running it with only 1GB and it runs videos and the visual effects as smooth as butter.

@Go Like Hell Machine: Outlook works great. However, you can only have one version installed at a time.

@jeremiah89: Yeah, I hate it. I actually was wondering why nobody wrote any replies, until I saw your post and noticed that you had to expand them. Change it back LH!

I've wanted to do this before...say that you're having a party and want to have music around the house just use this and be on your way.

I use Opera for this and simply disable images and everything from the menu on the status bar at the bottom. No more ads or Javascript!
