@gloveofpower: Not going to say it's a fad, but I am with you on not wasting money on glasses.

@subnet6: Aww, you beat me to it. Scary thought though. It's like breaking a mirror that emits nuclear radiation...

...and you were scared of a REGULAR black cat crossing your path.

So, the strap may or may not power the camera. It probably would for the average user, but you never know.

@Jason Fitzpatrick: The real worst is if you've covered your pool, and let water stagnate on top of the cover. Because of the shape of normal tarps, the watter "puddles" and even a little breeze won't move it around as much as with an open pool, where the movement of water (even in the closed space) is less

@Kamalot: Haha...thanks for the note. I was just about to click through and read the full article.

Aha!

@BigDerf: But my point is that it FORCES you to KEEP PAYING to keep what you've gained. So if I want to spend 2-3 months away from my PS3 for some reason, I still need to pay ~$18, to keep my subscription "active" even though I myself am NOT active.

@BigDerf: The problem is, your "investmnt" just disappears if you decide to take a break from PS3 for a while. Poof.

@PhoenixWitch: Ironically, I was thinking just yesterday of playing online solitaire w/ my gf, hahaha...

At this point, wasn't it supposed that the "free games" you get with your subscription are yours "during your subscription" only?

@JEmlayUSA: Ok, thanks for the info—I've never been one to buy a phone except with my "2 year renewal" discount, so I wasn't sure about it. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm personally a fan of having a "dummy" wireless network. So, my networked hard drive can run from the primary router, and QoS can slow the traffic through the secondary router.

@JEmlayUSA: I could be wrong. But aren't you NOT ABLE to buy it with contract reduction pricing, if you break it?

@superapplekid: You're right that I was oversimplifying. But I still think the major issue for me is the cost of admission for this feature. I understand that the TV manufacturers are likely selling the TVs at a bigger loss, hence why the glasses are so expensive, but they shouldn't be sold for more than $40-60

@superapplekid: I'm not saying it's bad to support 3D. Although I happen to think that if 3D (in its current form) died I wouldn't be unhappy.

Hmm...no update available on Ubuntu's repositories yet...hoping for that soon lol...

@Shteve: At least, not in a stationary 3D space, with proper input times, and accurate movement, etc...

@Madeira: Yep. It's a shame I'm a PS3-only guy. But it just had the content I wanted, and the free online is a big deal to me. (Again, I bought the console at a SIGNIFICANT discount, well before the price drops started, so it's not a matter of paying too much on the console to afford the online. I wouldn't have

@ChuckCharles: Amen to that. I call bullshit, Iwata. Online is one of the main reasons I don't own a Wii anymore. I play online games. I play them frequently. I have friends who don't live within a reasonable distance (I've passed the college age, and people move) and online is a great way of keeping in touch
