I sure didn’t. I like to look at cars when I’m driving. I think I’ve seen just a couple of Intrepids this year. They were probably not 2.7l, though. The only thing that save Chrysler from 5 lawsuits over that steaming pile is that they went bankrupt.

I just came here to see the people who claim they can detect a difference in how their engine runs when they change their oil, or oil weight, or oil brand. Those are always my favorite posts in oil-related discussions.

The SUV guy was obviously exaggerating, but he has a point: you could see farther in front of you if that SUV were a car, no matter what your following distance is—basic geometry. In heavy traffic, where everyone’s bunched up, I much prefer to be following a car than an SUV, for situation awareness.

My experience with Resident-only parking was in Boston, and they don’t do guest passes.

Seriously. I’m baffled by the folks talking about driving around for an hour to look for parking. At that point, I’m not sure you can make any argument for your car being convenient.

A. Patent falsehood.

People who are Pro-Resident only parking must not have friends who visit them.

As much as I hate it, I wish I invented it. Same for those stick on headlight lashes.

This confuses me as to why so many people feel that it is okay to damage another persons property just so save a couple minutes. Parking by feel means you don’t know how to park.

I have just solved both of the problems in New York.

“Reason number X you couldn’t pay me to live in that shithole.”

True, but the vast gulf between the richest of the rich and the rest of us just seems to get higher. Instead of more homeless folks actually finding somewhere to stay, for example, we’re breaking new records for how rich the rich are getting and putting in absurd laws to criminalize public sleeping and move camps out

I’ve ended up with all kinds of Porsche things as gifts, freebies and giveaways over the years. Teh Penguin of Doom kinda nailed it—they’re common “what do I get this person that’s impossible to buy for but likes this car?” type gifts, or easy things to hand out at press/dealership events, club gatherings, etc., etc.

Lots of jobs are like that. I do occasional claims for “high net worth individuals”. It sucks when they have 6 homes worth 15x more than your POS hovel and have pieces of jewelry in excess of 5x your salary.

It still drives me crazy that when you’re starting out in life you need to “build your credit”. If someone can get to age 40 without ever needing to borrow money, doesn’t that show they are responsible money managers and would be more likely to honor the debt? How can someone who is constantly borrowing be a bigger

They are only good to scrape your shin on.

Well it’s white, so it will obviously generate far more income than it’s worth.

It’s based on the Ford Fusion platform; what else could one reasonably expect?

Perhaps partially because this and other sites just absolutely skewered the car before it was even available to buy. I’ve seen a few on the road and they actually look surprisingly nice. Its also probably because since it doesn’t have any of the BMW/Mercedes/Audi badges.
