I cheered too. The only disappointment was he didn’t give a thumbs up.

I was already marking out when Coop started talking to MIKE, and then started god damn clapping with glee at “I am the FBI”. Just amazing, one of the most satisfying moments in TV history.

Nope. This movie was far superior having Tom Holand as Spider-Man. Sorry.

How ‘bout you give Tom Holland a chance. He could easily do as many as RDJ, and frankly, he is the BEST portrayal of Spider-Man on film ever. So I’m in no hurry for him to leave. Plus Miles Morales is going to be the lead in the animated film coming out. So it really is win/win.

While I agree with most of the points here, I think this piece is misguided; for a blockbuster and Marvel, this movie has an amazing and diverse cast, in both race and age; we are getting a almost fully African-American (both in front and behind the camera) Black Panther next year, we have Falcon, Mordo, War Machine

Miles Morales would have required a THIRD origin story retelling in 15 years for one of the super heroes who is most filmed and a large part of the super hero zeitgeist that has created the current super hero cinematic multi-verse.

Even more frustrating, Donald Glover, who campaigned for the lead in Spider-Man: Homecoming,

2015/2016: Hollywood/Oscars so white!

I feel like you could have boiled this whole article down to:

Thanks. I eventually learned how to nod and “that’s interesting” through the rants (pushing back gently when I couldn’t resist) and get on to other topics. It never broke my relationship with them, thankfully. But plenty of people aren’t so lucky, which is really tragic.

The damage caused by Roger Ailes is truly breathtaking in its impact and scope. Professionally, he was a proto-Rove Richard Nixon accomplice and enabler who went on to found the most powerful and pervasive propaganda network in modern history, which was profoundly responsible for training millions to disregard

Ailes was a slurry pond with legs, and his death should be sung to the high heavens. He and Scalia are two of the only people whose deaths I celebrate

I’m sad only because we won’t get to experience the joy of finding out he died ever again.

This absolutely does not make up for Chris Cornell.

I don’t know, the moment when Trump said “Nobody respects women more than me.” and the audience laughed was also pretty great.

Even though I am very, very angry about the “nasty woman” comment and the vicious attack on reproductive rights and racial minorities, I feel MUCH MUCH BETTER. Because that was the END of Donald Trump. He DAYD.
