Sorry, it just chaps my ass when people assume that suicide is selfish or that “it gets better”. I lost a friend due to suicide after his childs death. He did everything right, he went to therapy, groups, took meds, did everything he could do. He suffered for 8 years and didn’t experience a moments joy about anything.

I don’t think Haruhi is wrong, because it’s true, even if it is a dangerous outlook for someone who’s alive. But you’re being a complete ass about it.

It’s not being a nihilistic asshole, it’s acknowledging that people asking the suicidal person to live is being just as selfish as the suicidal person wanting to die.

As someone who is suicidal, Haruhi Croissant’s comment is the only comment that isn’t ignorant. He at least has some ability to empathize with suicidal people. I don’t know how anybody expects “Please don’t commit suicide, it’s your responsibility to keep me from being sad about your death :(“ to be a good approach to

Um, NO!

Hi. As someone who has on and off had bouts with this kind of stuff on a day to day basis, fuck off. Not everybody handles this kind of shit the same way, and for many of us the whole “reach out, people do care” kind of spiel just sounds like weak, patronizing bullshit that people only say to make themselves feel

Lol, you’re the one on getting off acting smarter than everybody, despite having zero idea what you’re talking about. Fuck off. You don’t know shit about suicide, much less how it feels when living is painful, if you claim “you need to live, don’t throw your chance away” is more helpful than harmful.

Said by the guy that was trying to make this guys suicide all about himself in the last article about his suicide.

Oh stop, you’re the one being all edgelord. Haruhi is 100% right, for some people, they never get better. Are we supposed to force them to continue with their existence when they never derive a moments pleasure? Fuck off, dude. You aren’t God or a God and you don’t get a say.

I see you’re making great use of that thesaurus, good for you.  Now maybe open your mind to other people’s opinions, lest you become the true ‘edgelord’ or some other stupid word.

Yeah, it’s hard to CGI away the tender gait of a 70-year-old running.

It’s basically going to be a chromecast.

No I didn’t hear someone say “Lots of small towns in this country are experiencing problems with their infrastructure and lack of new business”

I hear someone say “From the Rust Belt to the Bible Belt, small-town America in 2019 is defined by its abandoned shopping centers, crumbling facades, and garish casinos, where

Actually I am a normal person, but saying that “small town America is defined by X” is a blanket statement which opens itself up to criticism like mine for the very reason that it is so silly on its face. As I said elsewhere in the thread:

Of course I am, because both sides have a tendency to do the behavior I described specifically. If one side is protesting and the other drives a car through the protestors, then it is wrong to say “well both sides...” because it erroneously levels the playing field. One side committed murder, the other did not. That’s

He whittles them out of driftwood.

and also the root of 99% of the world’s solutions. It’s a double edged sword.

you forgot white and to make this statement over on splinter where you’d garner several stars for that tired chestnut.

Ageism my ass. I was a young person once and if present (old) me met past (young) me, present me would slap some goddamned sense into past me. It comes with the territory.

Yes, answered. There are people on the left just as willing as people on the right to tell other people how, when, and where they are allowed to worship. We can add the Church Approval Event to the Lefty Moral Superiority Olympics.

Is this a thing now? Telling people where they are allowed to go to church? Because if people want to start dragging others for going to anti-LGBTQ churches, then maybe start with the Catholics.
