Ok great, but how does standing in the corner solve the battery density problem
Ok great, but how does standing in the corner solve the battery density problem
You don’t get it. The big brains at jalopnik have it all figured out. Once everyone is driving glorified golf cart EVs like this https://jalopnik.com/gm-sells-15-000-low-cost-evs-for-china-in-first-20-days-1844840830 or the Changli we won’t need safety features. /s
That’s a terrible idea. EV are heavier because of the limits of battery technology. You can’t make EVs lighter without reducing range and range anxiety is already a big enough hurdle for EV adoption. Making EV’s with decent range more expensive will just keep people from switching to EVs.
What is this, like the 25th pearl clutching article about the horrors of the Hummer EV. It’s too bad the Cybertruck was delayed, it would be change of pace to hear how a different EV will kill us all.
Sedans have been 3000 lbs plus for a very long time. This is not a new phenomenon.
So kill EV adoption until we have a dramatic breakthrough in battery energy density, great idea.
Fuck all these vehicles getting bigger and heavier.
Toyota Prius is rated at 56 MPG combined. Hummer EV is rated at 47 MPGe. Electricity is fuel, too.
So tax EVs more even though they lower fossil fuel usage?
I get the hate on this thing cause it is peak excess american stupid
I’ll admit to eating a little bit of crow on this one because I legitimately never thought I’d see any article critical of any EV published here.
I really don’t understand why this is so much worse than so many of the cars we claim to love on here.
GOD DAMN LIBERAL MEDIA /s
Where do you draw the line? Can a billionaire advocate for socialism , keep most of his money, and not be hypocritical?
You can support and champion free healthcare, taxing the top percenters more, unionization and workers owning the means of production all while liking shiny things and wanting toys you clearly can afford.
And when one of those charismatic figures does something like buy a fancy house or a fancy car, it shatters that illusion. It reveals the truth that one person, no matter how passionate, can never change the world by themselves.
There is a lot space between poverty and $200k cars and 3 million dollar houses. You don’t need that level of wealth to live comfortably. Only the most delusional proponent of socialism (not social democracy) would think that most people under a socialist system (or really anyone in a non corrupt one) would be able to…
Do you mean social democracy or democratic socialism, because there is a big difference. Social democracies are capitalist market economies with strong regulations and social safety nets (welfare state). Democratic socialism is just regular socialism (public ownership of the means of production) with a democratic…
