LOL! “How dare you blame me when I don’t care and I live in Texas?” That’s some high-level commenting skills right there.

“Why be a bitch”

What about Prince Prince?!

This is by far the best response I’ve gotten to any comment I’ve left on Jezebel or anywhere else in the Gawkerverse in the many years I’ve been commenting. Thanks you for the pedantry! Super interesting!

Obligatory etiquette pedantry: “Lady” isn’t a title (in that sense), it’s just a non-specific form of address used for various women.

My hot takes about the royal court of pop music aside, it feels asinine to call anyone the “Queen of Music” (or King for that matter.) Music is one of the oldest forms of human artistic expression, it exists in one form or another in every culture I’ve ever heard of (even in cultures where it’s forbidden, it had to

When someone mentions Justin Bieber I always think of Atlanta.

“Tacky voyeurism” sums it up nicely.

It’s entirely possible the problem is that I am an old and I lived through this whole debacle in real time, but is anyone else...not at all excited about this? I bear no ill will toward Lewinsky—she seems funny!—and there’s no doubt she got treated like absolute garbage at the time. Hell, it might have even been a

Mrs. West isn’t dropping her surname because it is her name.  The actions of a mentally ill family member do not change that fact.

Not even Next Bey, too many forget that they were solid contemporaries

That’s not surprising to me at all. One of my friends divorced her husband but kept his name so she would have the same last name as her kids.

Because in mental healthcare, respect for autonomy is still a basic guiding ethical principle. Ye maintaining autonomy through what he’s described as episodes of a disorder isn’t an ethical failure even if it leads him down an odd, scary, or isolating path, unless it causes direct physical harm to himself or someone

I don’t think so. Ashanti is a great song writer and singer, But she was so tied to Murder Inc that when it went down so did she. Aaliyah on the other hand was working with Timberland, Missy and their crew. Timberland legit made Justin Timberlake, and his music career hasn’t recovered from him trying to do other

I don’t know who was looking at Aaliyah and not seeing an unmistakably black woman (mostly teen since she died when she was 22). Clearly, someone who hasn’t spent any time around black people. She’s not racially ambiguous and can’t pass for white. We’re not talking about Mariah or Halsey.

What did she say about/to the Jamaican sprinters? I keep hearing she said something but (after a lazy google attempt) can’t find it.

I’m actually surprised Honey Boo Boo isn’t older. It feels like she should be 20 or something by now

Naked Nirvana Baby= Broke Adult Cash Grab. I hope the suit gets thrown out. Utter BS.

I don’t know, is the fact he thought she was British worth 5+ paragraphs? People make these kinds of mistakes about actors all the time, don’t they? I know people who thought Nicole Kidman (who you mention in the article) or Cate Blanchett were American because they often play those roles.

I thought at the time her accent was panned as being bad?
