The problem with that is they’ve been buying up super-interesting studios and then telling them to make the most conventional games.

The 3rd pedal didn’t go unnoticed though, much like Renault’s mass damper it was declared legal until it wasn’t.
According to Bottas, Mercedes has been working on the system since the start of last season. It’s unlikely they would have invested all that time and energy in it without conferring with the FIA delegates regarding its potential legality first.
Cost.
It probably works much like DRS. Which is more dangerous if its locking mechanism fails, by the way.
They’ll be running simulations already to figure out how it works and if it’s feasible to get it on their car in short order. Regardless, they’re already behind the curve. Mercedes won’t sit back and wait for other to catch up.
It’s rumored to be much more about controlling tyre temps, by having a larger contact patch on the tyre in areas of the track where you would want that, then it is about top speed.
Yeah, I’m fairly sure it has to be activated by a button/paddle press much like DRS. As a safety mechanism, it might very well ‘reset’ automatically in a similar way as DRS too.
According to Gary Anderson, former technical director of Jordan and current design specialist at The Racer, that’s likely how it works (below screengrabs from the Racer’s item on it). According to Autosport, while tey’re testing it on straights right now it’s possibly mainly a design to improve tyre temps and wear…
Mercedes’ long-run pace is insane right now. I’ve heard several analysts who believe they’re at least a second clear of Red Bull, with Ferrari a bit further behind. I know it’s testing, but it’s not looking good for anyone who’s hoping the dominance ends.
I think season 3 should start with Racing Point blatantly copying last year’s Mercedes. We’re not even a day into pre-season testing and we already have our first kerfuffle.
I think you mean Jack Nicholls, BBC radio commentator. Most of his stuff is from live commentary, but there does seem to be some lines mixed and matched or outright ‘added’ for effect during post-production of the series.
‘works’ team. They’ll be re-branded but they’re highly likely to remain a privateer in many ways.
I don’t think that’s the thing at all. It’s perfectly OK to not like someone. I think the reason so many dislike Lewis is because a) he’s been dominant and people like to see different winners and b) he’s sort of hard to like. He’s very reclusive even from the other drivers on the grid, and his corny crowd-pleasing…
There’s going to be a lot of self pity, as per usual with Ricciardo. He’s such a great personality, but that’s his one trait that’s always bugged me.
Why? Because a savvy businessman decided to allocate a portion of his money to having his son chase his dream? Or because the rich kid, who could’ve sat on his ass for the rest of his life, decided to focus all of his time and energy on becoming the best driver he can be?
So it would’ve been better if Force India had gone bust, losing hundreds of jobs in the process?
It’s not. Team ownership and management will effectively stay the same, and they’re likely to keep using Mercedes engines. It’s a re-branding.
These guys would’ve dealt with the same situations without complaining if they’d have been born 50 years earlier. Just as Miles, Clark and Surtees would’ve been wimps if they were drivers now.
I think it’s been dethroned by Williams.
