Apart from the car being quite different, it wouldn’t really say that much since the F3 Americas isn’t a top F3 series. If you really want to compare these ladies with the dudes in similar equipment, just check out their actual performance against those guys when competing directly against them.

for people to miss the F1 race I guess, as the support races are generally in the morning.

Hate to be that guy but those are very much not F1 cars.

I’m still wondering if Jonathan Glazer’s new feature will actually release in 2020 as scheduled. I’m not sure, since it doesn’t has a title or confirmed cast yet, but if it does, then there’s my answer.

“I do a lot in the other activities in my life, where I see people, if they are blessed, they get $30 a month,” he said. “In certain countries. So we should not forget that.”

“ Let’s all take a breather and appreciate this historic moment for what it is—a female driver is joining the ranks of men in a series for the first time. Her results this year will speak for themselves.”

No, because see everything else I said.

That’s entirely fair, but the issue is that the people behind the W Series don’t have the financial capabilities Red Bull has. They still should have enough to at least Chadwick a good FIA F3 seat next year, but she’ll bomb because she’s never faced competition like that, and then what?

Good thing Jamie Chadwick’s parents are rich then. And Beitske Visser’s. And Tatiana Calderon has tons of sponsorship behind her to keep taking good seats from more capable drivers.

I really like her, but signing a 28-year old who’s never competed in single-seaters before isn’t a ringing endorsement for the quality of the competition.

yeah this sounds a lot more convenient than buying a decent wheel and pedals

why not create some opportunity in F2?

I would’ve gone with Formula Ew.

There aren’t any teams in the W Series. All cars are operated by Hitech.

She’s the development driver, not the test driver (that’s Nissany because... well, money). The issue for her is that Williams signed a second development driver as well, and Dan Ticktum is a legitimate talent. That’s not showing much confidence in her abilities by Williams, which basically confirms that they signed

That’s true. Though it shows Stroll’s Achilles heel: qualifying. He’s so bad at it that no team would sign him if he didn’t have money. I mean, when stating the reasons why Sirotkin couldn’t stick in F1 (and there are many), it’s unfair to omit the fact that he had a disadvantage in the ‘number of teams my dad owns’

You probably need to read my post again, since you basically just said what I said, only more angrily.

It’s already been well established that it’s actually the other way around: the payout in the W Series is insanely high compared to other, more competitive feeder series. The winner of the W Series gets about 4 or 5 times the prize money than the winner of the FIA F3 Championship.

You’re severely underestimating the skill level discrepancy between top-level W Series driver and Kevin Magnussen & Romain Grosjean. As in, the W Series winner would really struggle to make the 107% rule in F1, even in a Haas which usually is a top 10 capable car in qualy.
