Hi Jalops. Erin made a few small errors when she was publishing this post. It’s okay. The story is still good, and the message remains the same. She corrected those errors, because she’s a person who has some good days and some bad days.

That’s easy, trucks (F-150, Silverado, Ram). They don’t have expensive engineering or manufacturing, people just pay for the size because they equate size with cost. That’s why the profit margins are so high.

every single one of them. but mostly the very simple ladder framed roll up your own windows lock your own doors vinyl seated v6 trucks they have the balls to charge 38k for a crew cab. every single full size truck is overpriced.  second i would say is all german cars and their option prices.

I’m a tire snob and I always look at the tires. That’s often a giveaway somebody went in over their head just for the badge.

The name on the window sticker is cool, I’ve never heard of that.

It amazes me how many high-end cars I see around here with used auto lot decals on the trunks.

Mercedes S Class maintenance is expensive. Buying a Mercedes S Class at what appears to be a buy here pay here lot in the picture is the absolute definition of a horrific financial decision.

There’s a really good Manhattan Project physicist quote (can’t remeber which one for the life of me) that is essentially: Intelligence is worthless unless you can tell when you don’t know something.

Maybe those BMW nostrils aren’t helping...

If anything’s possible, a Prius Prime’s battery is worth 91hp on EV alone, if the hybrid synergy was beefed up like a Camry or RAV4’s, it should be able to blend both the full battery output and engine output of 98hp. The bottle neck is the output of the inverter and motors.

A Coupé Rally Prius that looks like a 3-door Citroën C4? Yes please.

Every ‘90s kid knows that you should never ford the river.

This is why, whenever I hear about a black person ‘fleeing’ the cops, my first response is “How is that *NOT* a perfectly reasonable and justifiable response for any person of color in *THIS* country??”

Months upon months of COProphagia in the mainstream press and wider culture will tend to result in this sort of crap.

The most damning statistic (from USA Today via 538):

I purchased an AWD 2020 Prius recently and it drives very nicely in the snow. My spouse just last week leased a 2021 Rav4 Hybrid. It will be interesting to see how similar/different they are to each other in the snow.

S/C 4.6L vs NA 5.7L

Just don’t tell the general public. They don’t need to know. Put it on the website and tell motor trend, C&D, Autoweek. etc.  Don’t run overpriced TV commercials. Youtube commercials on the channels like hoovies garage, tavarish, etc.

All the lightnings come with the crew cab because the battery is under the cab floor in between the frame rails.  There wouldn’t be space for the battery in a shorter cab version.

Can we please stop calling cars like these “Holy Grails?”
