My answer to the OP is to call out that bullshit claim by insurance company. Look at your policy - closely. Look for a clause that allows you to demand a replacement vehicle in lieu of a check. They’re lowballing you, and feeding you a line hoping you’ll buy it and save them a couple of grand.  My guess is they’ll

I’ve got what I think was pretty good insurance. They offered me about $3,600, less my $500 deductible. By all accounts this seems like a fair valuation given the milage, even though comparable vehicles with similar milage are going for about twice that. But they told me that’s not really how valuation is

This is exactly what I want in an EV. Obviously, it is expensive, but barring that, everything else hits the right EV buttons for me.

According to the Audi USA website they sell an A4 wagon:

Agreed. Unneeded complexity. I’d take a base Taycan turismo without the frippery of turbocharging.

I’d probably opt for the cheaper version as I don’t want the extra maintenance cost associated with a turbo.

This is now my most desirable car. A good compromise between build quality, technology, performance and practicality. I’ll likely never be able to afford one, but I hope they sell loads to counter the trend of laboriously hefty crossovers.

You just wrote 43 words explaining how you are an asshole. What fucking smooth-brain filter said ‘yeah this is good content’?

Are you seriously complaining that new Porsches are expensive? Their parent company literally just came out with an affordable EV that fits your description. You might as well be bitching that the 918 was a sign that hybrids were unaffordable by the masses and that automakers weren’t taking them seriously.

What pisses me off is that some companies ‘technically’ offer an awesome color combination - and never bring it in. I was looking for a new car a few years ago - so I logged on to VW and configured the exact car I wanted. A dark green Golf SportWagon with a tan interior and a 6 speed. I rushed excitedly down to the

As a rider I am very interested in this. I stayed AFTER clocking out at work to finish the article.

Porsches in general are unattainable for the majority. It’s not the job of Porsche to provide affordable models, it’s the companies that are already making entry-level vehicles that need to pick up that slack.

Once again, the long roof looks so much better than the sedan version. Damn that’s pretty.

Should have said they had a color expert

Jalopnik had an article some time back where they said that customers didn’t want colors and more. I guess if the “customer” is the dealership, that’s right. But they endless shades of meh available in modern cars keeps me out of the dealership. Mazda? Call me when I can get a 3 grand touring in BRG with tan leather

“The mercury in the thermometer read 47 degrees, but I knew with the wind factored in, it felt like 45, maybe 42. This presented a challenge, nearly as stiff as the breeze I encountered, as I had chosen to leave my scarf at home, and my neck quickly became kind of chilly.  Also, my hair was blowing, which was

4th Gear: It’s amazing that the Majority Leader’s wife, with strong ties to a shipping company, was ever allowed to corruptly lead the Department of Transportation.

I think 10 years is appropriate for a commercial vehicle that drives hundreds of thousands of miles.

Had to look up your example. Guy drives straight into the crowd. He clearly didn’t fear for his life before that.
