I think Toyota is going to have the advantage here in the US with their Prime line of Plug-in hybrids. Those who can’t charge regularly or those that drive long distances will see the advantage of plug-in hybrid over electric. That’s going to be a huge part of North America.
Thorium also hasn’t taken off because of public perception as well. Too many people associate nuclear power with Homer Simpson and a three eyed fish, even though fossil fuels release radioactive waste on top of their climate altering effects.
Exactly. If I were Biden, I would push for more nuclear plants and make it a point to call them waste plants. People always talk about the waste but we’ve had plans for 30 years of how to turn it into electricity.
There’s nuclear plants that literally run off of the waste of other nuclear power plants and even designs to have a third tier of power plants that run off of the waste using ones.
I think this is Mazda wants to get to. I think, like Porsche, they want a few models with lots of trim and performance levels albeit at a lower price point.
Yeah, I don’t get this. Even if Mazda’s reasoning is “We are a performance brand holistically, all of our cars out-perform the competition” similar to Porsche, Porsche still has hi-po variants in their GTS, Turbo and GT# models.
I wonder which Rav4 they make available. I bet it’s a base FWD, that way every Rouge seems nicer inside and more capable.
I didn’t know these even existed, these are freaking cool!
Oooh, great choice! I had a family friend who had a New Edge Cobra, it blew my mind at the time. Knowing what I know now, that’s probably one of the few even worth getting.
Very well could be but Hyundai has a pretty strong correlation between its mules and production vehicles. It’s like anti- GM lol
Yeah, the S-10 was the only car I ever drove where I could watch the gas gauge move while driving. It also couldn’t hit 70mph to save it’s life.
https://www.autoblog.com/2020/04/20/hyundai-veloster-n-turbo-engine-300-horsepower/ It was announced a couple of months ago. The Genesis G70 is getting this motor too.
Most are speculating 300 because the 2.0T in the Veloster already hits 275hp and this is the same 2.5T that Kia has confirmed will have 300hp in the Stinger. Not saying it’s set in stone but the evidence already points to it.
If the Kona N is 300+hp, it’s going to be a real strong competitor against the Golf R. Sounds awesome actually....
I really like them too. They’re just slightly taller hot hatchbacks and there’s nothing wrong with a hot hatchback!
