Well...

That is quite a misleading title. It’s like saying that the base price of a BMW 3-series is $45,000 because the 335i exists.

It is way less than $35,000 with the federal tax credit we get here in CA.

On the other side of that argument, I would like to point out that I have never driven, or in fact even been on, a road trip longer than 400 miles. And I only take a 300-mile road trip once or twice a year these days.

My friends and I were about two steps from doing this exact project with a BMW E36. We’re all full-time students, and all members of an FSAE team, so we ultimately decided we didn’t have the time to devote to this project because it would take away from our other race car.

Literally THE worst, most disgusting, absolute best transition in all of Thrones.

DIBS ON THE PART-OUT!!!! Mine could use some Brembos haha.

I mean... or just a WRX wagon. Either would do... or both!

Holy shit guys... Honda’s back in the game!

There’s pushrods on the front & bell cranks obscured by the chassis tubes; you can see the red shocks running front-to-back and attaching to the horizontal member just in front of the steering wheel.

Here’s how I see it: if a seller doesn’t do their research, and far undervalues their car, that’s not the buyer’s fault. And the buyer is in no way morally obligated to inform the seller the car is undervalued.

Some lane-splitters made you angry, so all lane-splitters are bad.

You don’t. My dad has an S60 T5; he keeps his key in his pocket all the time. As someone who’s only ever owned cars with keys for the ignition, it’s really weird to just hop in the driver’s seat and hit one button to start the car, all while they key is in his pocket and he’s sitting next to me haha.

I’ve seen more difficult swaps. There’s a long list of parts you need, but with only a couple small exceptions, those parts and the car don’t need to be modified in any way - basically everything bolts right up.

Yes, but when the transmission blows, you just swap in a manual! Manual SVX’s are sublime.

I like it!

I mean, all of these LED units are going to be dirt-cheap in 10 years when Moore’s Law kicks in... They’re just sinfully expensive now because the technology is new.

The 2x GTA$/RP Events are ideal for making money. Full-lobby 3-lap races have a payout of over $60,000 for the winner. For around 10-13 minutes of racing, that’s well worth it.

Exactly! And when I wrote that post I had completely forgotten that the BRZ just got a performance package with better suspension and Brembo brakes, so that’s two of four boxes already checked & done.

I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one.
